An 11-year-old boy cheated death by incredibly sensing the approach of disaster. He insisted that his parents let him sleep in their room.
On Sunday 3 August 2014, a twin-engine aircraft crashed in the city of Balsas, located in northeastern Brazil. The aircraft crashed into an apartment building where the couple, Marcio Andre and Sabrina Ertell, and their 11-year-old son Augusto Thiago were staying. By a happy coincidence, they survived.
According to the Mirror tabloid, the night before the disaster, Augusto argued with his father, trying to get permission to sleep in his parents' room. After Marcio realized that his son would not give up, he agreed, not suspecting that by doing so he saved his life.
A few hours later, when the family fell asleep, a plane crashed on part of their house, as a result of which the 11-year-old boy's bedroom was buried under a pile of burning debris.
According to Sabrina, they were awakened by a deafening rumble and bright flashes.
“We were fast asleep when there was a loud sound, as if our house was in the midst of an earthquake or a hurricane that made us jump on the bed,” she describes the incident with the plane crash. - My husband opened the bedroom door and, seeing the raging flames, grabbed his son and together we jumped out of the window. Usually my husband is calm and reasonable, but at that moment he reacted instantly. He was thinking about how to save us from the burning house."
Shocked by the incident, the woman added that after they jumped out of the window, they managed to call the neighbors for help and, with their help, open the gate.

The sight of Augusto's destroyed bedroom made the parents believe in providence: they believe that higher forces helped the child feel the approach of a disaster and take refuge in the surviving part of the building.
“This is a sign that parents should sometimes indulge their children,” concluded Sabrina.
According to local media reports, the plane was carrying 87-year-old Maria de Jesus Cruz e Silva from the Balsas hospital to the neighboring state of Piauí. She, as well as 5 people on board - her daughter, grandson, as well as the pilot and his wife - were killed.
