More than 15 sheep of the Barbados breed went missing, and two rams were mutilated by unknown persons and died on a ranch near Port Lavaca, Texas.

“We are so attached to our animals and it is so painful to see them killed and maimed,” says rancher Wayne Daggs, 72, retired.

Now on the small ranch of Daggs there are only six sheep left with a goat and a small herd of dwarf goats. The pensioner's sheep did not immediately disappear. First, four sheep disappeared in March, then five more in July. The man in the latter case heard a mother sheep bleating, looking for her lambs. He did not see more of these sheep, but after the second loss he reported the incident to the district sheriff.

Later, Daggs and the deputy sheriff managed to find one of the missing animals on the field. It was a ram with testicles cut out. He was still alive, but died the next day, although veterinarians tried to save him.

In July, two more sheep disappeared, and in September another sheep and a ram disappeared from the farm. Recently, this ram was also found neutered and dead. Farmer Daggs is lost in conjecture.

“I can still understand why the thieves could kill and castrate the first ram. He was aggressive and could protect his females. But the second was young, new and completely calm. I have no version as to why this is happening.

“These cases are unusual. - notes County Sheriff George Aliman, - Nobody else does this. However, not everyone can report the loss and mutilation of sheep.

At the moment, the investigation into the Daggs case continues, for information that can help in the case, they promise 2 thousand dollars, but there is something else interesting, noted in the same Texas in Victoria County. On the evening of September 21 on Friday (the same day that the second emasculated and killed ram was found at Daggs' farm), eyewitnesses reported a strange noise. There were several calls to the police about unknown strong sounds. Also, in some cases, a bright and unusual flash of light was observed.
