Historically, Friday the thirteenth has become a "black date" in Western Europe, more precisely, in France, after the burning of the leadership of the Templar Order. This is described in detail in artistic form in the famous series "Cursed Kings" by the French classic Maurice Druon.
The essence of the event lies in the fact that on October 13, 1307, King Philip the Handsome of France ordered the seizure of the property of all the Templar commanders throughout France, and they themselves were seized and tortured, until they confess their godless connections with Beelzebub and, accordingly, the practice of black magic …
The Grand Master of the Knights Templar Jacques de Molay and three of his associates were sentenced to life in prison after a trial that lasted seven years. However, Jacques de Molay refused to repent and publicly accused the king of greed and money-grubbing as the main motive for the destruction of the Christian order.
On March 18, 1314, Jacques de Molay was publicly burned at the stake in Paris, along with the accomplice Geoffroy de Charnay who supported his accusation. Already engulfed in flames, he called the Pope, King of France and Chancellor of the Kingdom of France to the judgment of God before the expiration of one year from the date of his death.
All three who “received a summons” died within 12 months after the execution, and under very strange circumstances. Thus, Pope Clement V reposed after a long illness on April 20, 1314; Guillaume de Nogaret was poisoned on April 27, 1314; King Philip IV the Handsome died of a stroke on November 29, 1314. This is how the first prophecy of the passion-bearer came true.
According to legend, with his second prophecy at the stake, Jacques de Molay cursed the French kings up to the thirteenth generation. The last - thirteenth - in the family of Valois-Bourbons (royal blood of the Capetian) was Louis XVI. Moreover, the night before the execution, he spent in the same cell as Jacques de Molay several centuries before him.
On the scaffold, when the king's head was already separated from the body and was shown to the crowd, a shout was heard from the nearby ranks of onlookers: "Jacques de Molay, you are avenged!" So the second gloomy prophecy of the Grand Master of the Knights Templar came true.
This Gothic story became part of the subconscious of the Romanic peoples of Western Europe and influenced the negative attitude towards Friday the thirteenth - the date of the beginning of the process of those who are still revered in France as innocent victims.

Naturally, this peasant belief does not stand up to criticism, if only because of the lack of a calendar with Roman months and chronology as such in paradise.

Obviously, each earth has its own heavenly patrons and its own path. This is probably all the more correct when it comes to lands with different religious systems. In France, as in all of Western Europe, the traditional religion is Catholicism, in Russia - Orthodoxy, and in a number of lands - Islam. Thus, no curses or ominous prophecies that may be valid in Europe can affect Russia and the Russians.
For an ailment that affects some sensitive citizens, doctors have even come up with a special name - parascavidecatriaphobia. This is precisely the fear of Friday 13. Paradoxically, some people adore this date.
