Observations of strange figures in Glinik (drawing-reconstruction): 1) the case of Mrs. Sophia L. in the 1950s; 2) the case of Pan Jacek in 1998-1999; 3) the case of Pan Marek in 2009
Ufologist Arkadiusz Myazga is preparing for publication his book dedicated to ufological incidents in Poland, many of which were collected by the author personally during his research activities
A small fragment was published on the Internet dedicated to a series of mysterious events that took place in one place - the subcarpathian village of Glinik, which, perhaps, can lay claim to the title of an "anomalous zone". We bring to your attention a translation from Polish of this fragment of the book.
It rarely happens that UFOs show constant activity in one place for a long time. I had to face a similar situation in the Subcarpathian Glinika, located some 15 km south of Ropchitsy. There have been recorded UFO encounters of various kinds - from close encounters of the second kind to events that are difficult to classify.
The story of one family
The first sighting occurred in the summer of 1963. Witness X (we will not name his name), being at that time a 6-year-old child, played before noon in a small clearing near a barn that no longer existed. At a certain moment, the boy felt “out of place”, and “goose bumps” crawled down his spine. When he looked around, he saw in front of him (in the north direction) a strange object, which he compared with a "loaf of bread", standing on the ground four meters from him. The object was small in size - about 90 cm in height and a meter in width, the color was graphite.
The boy noticed that the surface of the object was covered with irregular spots of a darker color. They alternately lit up and darkened, as if pulsating, while the object itself trembled weakly, without making the slightest sound. This greatly intrigued the boy, since he had no idea what it could be. He slowly approached the object, sensing the rise in ambient temperature. In the end, he touched the surface of the object with his palm, after which he was literally paralyzed: it was impossible to move any part of his body.
This state lasted until the moment when he wanted to scream with fear, but then the "object" let go of the boy's hand, and the boy, throwing a handkerchief in his direction, ran home with all his might. After a while, he returned to the same place with his mother, but in the green meadow there was nothing but a scarf. During the conversation, the eyewitness clarified that the surface of the object when touched seemed cold and as if "sticky".
This observation was documented at the scene in September 2001, 38 years later. The testimony of the witness was consistent. Moreover, his sister remembered that he had told her this story for a very long time, even though she then thought that his brother had met with a kind of "atmospheric" phenomenon. It also turned out that other strange events took place in the same place.
Promotional video:
Sophia L., 80, claims that during the summer sometime in the early 1950s, in the same place where her son met a strange object, she also encountered something anomalous. According to her, she happened to see a strange figure at a distance of 6 meters, standing with his back to the witness. The creature was in brown clothes, about 160-175 cm tall and resembled a man with a broad-shouldered body structure.
It was surprising that the figure, having made several steps forward and strongly pushing off the ground, rose into the air and "disappeared" at a height of about 2-3 m above the ground. Unfortunately, over the years, Sophia could remember little about this event. What did she see? The moment of "dematerialization" of a being suggests that what happened was clearly not something ordinary, with which we have to deal almost every day.
Disappearing cross and ball
Strange events were obviously tied to Glinik. In the early spring of 1963, three boys (up to 10 years of age) watched the flight of a small "cuboid" at noon. This object was about 30 cm long, 10 cm high, and silently moved some 6 m above the ground, making maneuvers in flight, bending around trees in the way. One of the witnesses said that he and his friends tried to hit him with thrown sticks.
In Glinik I had to visit more than once, recording the stories of its inhabitants. Among them was the observation of a spherical UFO - at the end of October 1976 (the date is presumably not accurate, it may even have been 1985), which was witnessed by four people.
It was about 18.30, darkness reigned on the street, when suddenly a frightened child ran into the adults sitting in the house with the message that something strange was happening outside. At that very moment, a reddish light filled the room in which the eyewitnesses were. People immediately poured out into the street, where they saw a three-meter diameter red ball moving away towards the meadows lying a hundred meters away. There were vertical stripes on the surface of the object. The witnesses had the impression that something else was rotating "inside the object" from left to right. The UFO flew 20 m above the ground, and 15 seconds later it literally "disappeared" into the air, leaving behind a plume of blue-gray haze.
Almost in the same place in the summer of 1985, one of the members of the same family on a cloudy day saw a “cross of light” of yellow-pink color, located a few meters above the ground between the sheds. The "cross" had uneven dark beams, but in general it appeared wavy. The observer, who was at 25 m, estimated its height at about 1.5 m. Interestingly, the "vision" disappeared after a few seconds. Was it a strangely shaped lightning? But the event did not take place during a thunderstorm, and the eyewitness did not hear any sounds.
Strange guest in the house
A few meters further there is a house in which a strange figure was observed. It happened in November 1991. Mrs. Christina (last name is hidden) became a witness of the event. It was about 11 am. After a full day of work, the woman went to bed. Her husband was working the night shift at that time. A few minutes later something strange happened. Near the TV, a woman noticed a silhouette. At the same time, she realized that she could not even move, and this scared her even more. The creature approached her bed (as if floating in the air), and Christina felt his icy touch above her feet.
As she said, during the nightmare that lasted two minutes, she kept a clear consciousness. A minute later, the creature returned to its place where it came from and disappeared. She was about 1.6 meters tall and very thin. Unfortunately, because of the darkness, the woman did not see any other details of her appearance. Christina gave the impression of a trustworthy person. From that time on, she was afraid to spend the night in the room herself, and in the absence of her husband's home, she turned on the light at night. It is not known, however, how to relate her experience with other events that took place in the village.
In April 2001, Christina's family was awakened by her daughter, who claimed that "something was shining through her window." It was about two in the morning. The parents who doubted her words went into her room and, indeed, there they saw that the room was illuminated by a bright light. Two yellow and white balls were visible through the window. The first was at a distance of about 200, and the second - 600 m from the house. The balls moved, hovering over the nearest houses and a cemetery, after which they returned to their original position. The closest object emitted light so bright that it was enough to illuminate the girl's room. The objects disappeared by 6 o'clock in the morning, witnessed only by Christina, as the others had already gone to bed.
Pillar over the field. Chimney ball
Interestingly, none of the villagers saw these two balloons, which patrolled the village for four hours. But in this part of Glinik I recorded two other events that are rather difficult to explain. In September 2000, one eyewitness noticed a phenomenon in the form of a motionless "luminous column" over a corn field. It had an ashy color, reaching a height of 15 meters, while being rather narrow (according to a witness, barely a meter wide). When the man intended to get closer, the object became invisible, but at the same time, it reappeared when the observer moved away from him. A few minutes later, the "luminous column" disappeared.
In April 2002, from a colleague, I received information about regular UFO encounters in Glinik. As it turned out, they were concentrated in one place - a conditional square of 150x150 m, where "close contacts" took place three times. The first one occurred in May 1990 and concerned the observation of a small object flying low above the ground. This event was documented in May 2002 during a conversation with one of the witnesses (the second, unfortunately, declined to comment).
From the message of Pan Krishtof, we managed to find out that the incident happened when, as a child, he and a friend went to an empty abandoned house at a crossroads somewhere between 19.30 and 20.00. It was already dusk and the sky was cloudy. At a distance of about 50 meters from the building, the boys watched in amazement as a meter-diameter ball flew out of its chimney. “We felt very strange, and goose bumps ran through our skin,” an eyewitness recalled. Meanwhile, the object came down and hovered 1.5 m above the ground, causing fear among the unwilling bystanders who fled to their homes.
Jesus or an alien?
The second incident in the "zone" became the strangest of all the events in Glienicke. We are talking about the observation of a creature, the meeting with which took place in 1998 or 1999. The witness was a 50-year-old man - an ordinary person who for many years lived on odd jobs. Fast forward to the day when an eyewitness (let's conditionally call him Jacek), passing through his courtyard at about 23.00, noticed that behind the trees at a distance of about 30 m there is a dark figure surrounded by a luminous halo. A somewhat frightened Jacek walked unsteadily in her direction and stopped a few meters from her.
Jacek claimed that at that moment all the hairs on his body stood on end. The figure reached about 1.8 m in height and was dressed, according to an eyewitness, in a black cloak. Outwardly, she resembled a thin young man with short hair, but due to her limited vocabulary, the witness was not able to give any further additional description of her appearance. A strong light of unknown origin spread around her.
Most interesting was the fact that Jacek exchanged a few words with the figure. He claimed that it was she who first established verbal contact with him, saying: "Come to me," to which the man said: "Lord, I don't want to go anywhere yet." A few seconds later, the unexpected happened: the creature ascended up, and the eyewitness felt a swirl of air. At a height of several meters, it disappeared, and the radiance that surrounded it died out like a "switched off light bulb." During a conversation with Jacek, it was possible to establish that in this phase of contact he became very cold and sweat broke out.
The same man witnessed another strange incident, this time related to a UFO, which happened on March 29, 2002 at about midnight, when he was carrying buckets of water into the house. At a certain moment, he noticed that a spherical object of red-pink color was approaching from the southeast, flying at an altitude of about 50 m. When the balloon flew over his house, for a second the whole courtyard became bright as day. Everything indicated that the light was emitted by a passing object, which quickly disappeared behind the house. When asked what it could be, Jacek answered in a simple way: that it was “a star that exploded”.
Glowing figure
Several events from Glinik were explained, and they concerned mainly the flights of satellites or the Leonid meteor shower, which often mislead observers. It was different with the event, which we managed to learn about in January 2002. It took a very long time to persuade his witness to tell about it.
This happened in August 1997, very late at night, when Pan Z. was returning to his home in Broniszow. He had a path of 2 km. The night was lovely, warm and nothing out of the ordinary. On the way, he unexpectedly noticed that a strange figure of pale color appeared 50 meters away from him, as if woven from light. Height - about 1.5 m, the head was disproportionately large relative to the body. Other details of the appearance were invisible. Although she moved like a person, she did not make the slightest sound. The fear that seized the eyewitness was so great that he rushed forward, falling into a ditch of water. When he looked around, no one was already around.
Circle in the sky
Eyewitnesses often report sightings of glowing circles in the sky, which usually turn out to be the effect of laser installations or reflectors. I had to deal with many such incidents, although some of them came across some that are difficult to explain. One of such cases took place just in Glinik.
In June 2001, at about 21.00, a cyclist observed a strange phenomenon in the southeastern part of the sky. It was a circle of yellow, green, and red luminous dots that slowly moved to the right and left.
According to the witness, the phenomenon was at a maximum of 5 km from him, in the vicinity of Navsi. Five minutes later, the observer moved on on his way. Could this be the effect of the laser installation? But in order for such an effect to manifest itself, capable of misleading eyewitnesses, there should be clouds in the sky, from which the light must be reflected. Often in this kind of cases, the visible rays of light or the "object" itself are converted into an ellipse.
UFOs don't sleep
One of the last recorded events in Glienicke occurred on May 16, 2009 and again concerned the appearance of a strange figure. Soon after this incident, we managed to visit the estate of Pan Leszko, where everything happened. The witness was 48-year-old Pan Marek, an acquaintance of the owner of the farm. On that day, until about 4:00 pm, they decided to light a small fire on a small hill surrounded by a young deciduous forest in order to fry the sausages. But soon the weather began to frown, and it began to rain a little. When Marek was sitting on a bench among the trees, he heard a sound coming from a barn 25 meters away. He described it as the echo of something falling from the roof while driving over the tiles.
The man glanced in that direction and noticed a figure standing motionless by the barn. This "something", according to an eyewitness, watched him for several seconds, after which it disappeared behind the building. Though for a minute he felt scared, but he decided to run there, but did not find any traces. A second was enough for him to examine this creature: height - about 1.8 m, dark or even black, frail body structure. Interestingly, an eyewitness claimed that the figure had black hair falling over its shoulders and clothes similar to those worn by Catholic priests. Her hands were pressed to her body, although her palms were not visible. The face seemed lighter, but still dark in color.
In the case of this vision, the key point would be to find the traces that this creature could have left. Unfortunately, this did not happen. When examining the territory for the presence of other anomalies, I used a Geiger counter. The general background of the terrain, determined from measurements at three control points, is 14.3 μSv / h. At point "A" the level of gamma radiation according to three measurements averaged 17.33 μSv / h.
At point "B" (where the creature was observed) the level of gamma radiation (average value over three measurements) was 15.3 μSv / h. These values in these places were slightly higher than the background values. This small anomaly is not necessarily related to the sighting of a mysterious figure. For other instrumental studies, a simple detector was used to measure the voltage of the electromagnetic field (up to 30 Gs), but it did not reveal significant deviations. But what is interesting, in the place where the creature was observed, the compass needle was deflected by an angle of up to 10 degrees. Repeated experiment three minutes later - and the needle deviated slightly. As if the magnetic field was "pulsating" here. Perhaps the water streams passing here are responsible for this.
Pan Marek is a calm person and not looking for fame. He agreed to tell his case only after the persuasion of his acquaintance. It was not easy for him, with some awkwardness, and it is unlikely that he shared his observation with anyone else. His story was very simple and specific. He did not know what the figure he was observing was, and, like many other inhabitants of Glinik, he had never encountered anything similar.
