Suna West, 13, from Migori County, Kenya, is now suffering severely after being kicked out of school for allegedly being "possessed by the devil."

According to Nairobi News, the girl attended Nyamome Elementary School and was first called a devil worshiper and was suspected of luring other students into her sect.

After the girl once fell on the floor right in the classroom and began to convulse, the teachers concluded that she herself was possessed by the devil or demons and should be expelled from school.

“The girl fell down like that more than once and at the same time she began to utter incomprehensible words, as if communicating with spirits. She greatly frightened other children, which is why the school administration made such a decision,”one of the teachers told reporters.

The girl was expelled for three weeks for now, expecting that she would "recover" and become normal again. Suna herself is sure that she has been slandered.

“I am accused of something that I do not even understand. I like going to school and studying, but now I was suspended and I just sit at home and do not know. what to do with yourself."

The girl's mother rejects any suggestion that her daughter worships or is possessed by the devil. She says that after this incident she cried a lot and is sure that her daughter is not a Satanist, but she probably needs medical help because of her condition. Also, the mother says that she cannot find another school for her daughter.

The headmaster, Mr. Joshua Shiro, said that the school administration only kicked the child out after they were convinced that something was wrong with her and that she was most likely under the influence of demonic forces.

“She was caught doing strange behavior and wanted to involve other children in her strange practice. We made this decision in order to save other children. Many of the students became afraid to come to school because of this girl,”said Director Shiro.

The removal of the girl from classes was formalized in accordance with all the rules with written notification:

“The board and staff of Nyamome Elementary School are informing you of your daughter's unusual behavior, which is a manifestation of demonic powers. We recommend that you take her to a prayer service,”says a letter dated July 2, 2018 sent to the girl's mother.

According to Director Shiro, after talking to Suna, three of her classmates also had temporary seizures. It has been suggested that the girl influenced them.

Now the mother wants to apply for a "pardon" to the Ministry of Education. Local human rights activists described the case as a violation of the child's rights and want to go to court if the girl is not returned to school.
