The list of the tallest teens in the world has been published, the record holder of which was 13-year-old Brenden Adams from Ellensburg, Washington, whose height was 225 centimeters, according to the Telegraph. At eight years old, Adams reached the size of an adult, which caused confusion among doctors. Later, they found that the reasons for this growth lie in abnormalities in the boy's chromosomes. As determined by the doctors, its further growth would have been fatal. The surgeons managed to slow down Adams' growth process.
Also on this list was the tallest girl Thai Malee Duangdee. At 17, her height is 208.4 centimeters. Growth abnormalities are caused by the presence of a tumor in her pituitary gland, which causes the body to produce too much growth hormones. Doctors performed two operations to remove the tumor, but did not get a positive result.
The second-tallest girl was 15-year-old basketball player from Jamaica Marvadene Anderson. Her height is 206 centimeters. The girl received a sports grant from an American university.
