People often associate many legends and stories with the Crimean capital. Simferopol is not only a favorite place for tourists, but also a real mystery. Everyone knows the clock tower at the railway station, at least once they walked along the bank of the reservoir and visited Alexander Nevsky Street. Crimean researchers of anomalous phenomena, historians and ethnographers told about strange phenomena in these places.

Passage to parallel worlds, an unknown underground rumble in the old cemetery, and even conversations with the dead. It is not easy to find the truth, and everyone finds their own explanations for certain strange events. But the fact that Crimean scientists have already begun to seriously investigate the unknown and anomalous is no longer worth denying.

The cemetery under the reservoir

There are legends that a huge old cemetery is located at the bottom of the Simferopol reservoir. Historian Vladimir Grigoriev said that mass executions took place at the site of the reservoir. According to legend, after filling it with water, corpses floated to the surface.

As the researcher of anomalous phenomena Anatoly Anfalov said, the story of the execution is true. In the 19th century, orchards of local landowners were located in the area of the present reservoir. After the revolution, they were abandoned, and during the Civil War, officers of the White Army and civilians were shot there. As it turned out, the bodies of the killed were buried there, in huge common pit-graves. To date, the exact death toll is unknown.

- Some strange things are constantly happening on our reservoir, some people have seen us UFOs, both under water and above it. A friend of mine personally encountered a very dire situation and told me about it. He decided to go fishing, there he met his old school friend, got into conversation with him, came home in a good mood. And only after a while I learned from my friends that his classmate, with whom he had recently talked so warmly at the reservoir, had already been dead for more than 5 years,”Anfalov shared.

Underground life of Simferopol

The researcher also told us about a whole network of underground tunnels of ancient origin, which is located under the city. The same territories can be called anomalous and poorly studied.

- The city authorities decided to hide many underground passages and even entire roads from the locals. Some of the entrances have now been blown up, filled up and closed. But Simferopol residents still talk about people who could enter the door at one end of the city and leave at the other end. I know for sure that there is a cave "Vernaya" near the village of Dubki - it was blown up long ago and erased from all maps of the Crimean capital. The Serpentine Cave near the village of Levadki is also filled up. And part of the tunnel in the cave, which is located in Petrovsky rocks, on Vorovskogo street is used by the Emergencies Ministry as an underground shelter. There are also rumors that it is so huge that KAMAZ can call in there. It is safe to say that our city is completely dug underground by tunnels, moreover, a century ago, along which our ancestors moved and even built roads there.

"Sleeves" in other dimensions

Anfalov added that the city also has such anomalous zones as "arms" to other dimensions. People get there quite by accident, they see unfamiliar terrain, a different time of the year and even strange creatures.

- It can be called a gap in time space. A person can simply walk down the street, enter the fog and get into another dimension. One Simferopol citizen thus ended up in a fantastic version of the city, where, according to him, dwarf creatures live, which have thick hair and glowing eyes. The man was very scared and experienced a strong shock, he could not explain what was happening.

German symbols on the clock tower

The station clock tower has always attracted the attention of visitors and even became the main and main symbol of the capital of Crimea. Few people know that its construction began back in 1946, the Simferopol "Big Ben" was built not only by Soviet workers, but also by German prisoners of war. Perhaps that is why there is a legend among the townspeople that from a certain side and at a certain time of the day you can see the profile of Hitler there. But, of course, these are only made-up stories.

The tower still has one peculiarity. On the dial opposite each hour, different signs of the zodiac flaunt. But the most interesting thing is that instead of Virgo, Libra and Taurus, Ophiuchus, Hounds Dogs and a Swan (Old Slavic zodiac signs) are depicted. And the rest of the symbols of the Zodiac have a broken sequence, which, according to esotericists, changes the fate of the city and the whole peninsula. Why this happened, no one can answer, but some researchers bring a mystical meaning to this fact and call the tower a peak of energy that protects the city from cataclysms. But that's not all, there is a fountain in the Italian courtyard of the railway station, before there were eight pigeons on it, and only over time two were removed when the station workers noticed that the figures connected by lines formed a swastika.

Howl from the ground

Probably not everyone knows that the so-called first civil cemetery was located next to the present Central Market. The burials date back to the 19th century, but since the middle of the 20th century, for unknown reasons, people have ceased to be buried there. In the 60s, a school was built there, and later part of the cemetery was taken for a stadium and garages.

- The Karaite, parts of the Jewish and Orthodox sectors of the necropolis went under the school. Researchers call this a real loss and they just can't come to terms with it. The school was closed in 1996, and its territory was divided between different institutions. As a result, a regiment of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Property Fund of the Republic, two civilian universities, warehouses and shops of the Central Market are now located on the bones of their ancestors, ” said historian and ethnographer Vladimir Gurkovich.

And the Simferopol researcher of anomalous phenomena added that there are many unpleasant stories associated with this area.

- Once a resident of Yuzhnaya Street called me and said that she heard a strange sound from under the ground near the Central Market near the old cemetery, reminiscent of the creak of a door opening. This is a rather strange and creepy phenomenon, which, according to the townspeople, is repeated quite often, - said Anfalov.

Tombstone House

Another legend that causes goosebumps tells that in Simferopol there is a house built from gravestones. According to the townspeople, it is located on Rosa Luxemburg Street (now Alexander Nevsky), completely made of gravestones that were taken from the old cemetery on Petrovskaya Balka.

- It is not known exactly whether there is such a house in reality, but back in 2009, the Simferopol police began to receive complaints about the theft of gravestones from the city cemetery "Abdal". After that, the police began to actively search for the robbers, and the search ended with a terrible find. 38 marble gravestones were found in the yard of one of the thieves. The robber admitted that the gravestones were stolen from the city cemetery and used by him to build a residential building, - said the historian Vladimir Grigoriev.
