Mysteries of the ocean depths
Some of the researchers believe that there is an underwater civilization on our planet. To many, this idea seems quite reasonable. After all, it was in the water that life was born in due time! There are references to mysterious underwater cities or individual buildings, distinguishable at depth.
• 1997 - the Australian Navy conducted a survey of the Bellingshausen Basin, near Tierra del Fuego, lowered a deep-sea reconnaissance bathyscaphe to a depth of about 6,000 meters. about the presence of a real underwater city in this area. The buildings were oval in shape, with a powerful inner light coming from them. The experts found that the glow did not come from the phosphorescent, rotting remains of sea creatures.
The recording was transferred to the Royal Institute of Oceanology, where it was studied in detail by scientists, as a result, they came to the conclusion that the structures on the seabed are artificial. After this conclusion, a research group was again sent to the same place in order to re-survey. But this time nothing was found. The sea was dark and hid all the visible signs of a glowing sea city. It remains a mystery: either the city just moved to another place, or the buildings stopped emitting light.
In the article, Professor A. Sanderson examined some mysterious phenomena, including various oceanic glow. In his opinion, this could be as evidence of the intelligent activity of the inhabitants of the ocean depths, whom he calls Poseidonians. As the main argument, he cited the case described by the famous Thor Heyerdahl:
• “Not a day passed without inquisitive guests who scurried around us … On such nights we were sometimes frightened at the sight of two round luminous eyes that suddenly appeared out of the water very close to the raft and looked at us with unblinking, hypnotizing eyes. Perhaps it was the spirit of the sea itself.
Several times, when the ocean was calm, round heads appeared in the black water around the raft, having a diameter of 60–70 cm, which, without moving, looked at us with large sparkling eyes.
Sometimes at night we saw sparkling balls about a meter in diameter in the water, which lit up at irregular intervals, resembling electric bulbs flashing for a moment …

One cloudy night, about two o'clock, the helmsman … saw a dim glow under the water, which gradually took the shape of an animal. Either the plankton was glowing … or the monster itself was phosphorescent, at least the ghostly creature was constantly changing shape. It was now round, now oval, now triangular, then unexpectedly split into two parts, which independently of each other floated back and forth under the raft. Towards the end, three huge luminous ghosts were slowly circling under us … One body reached 6-8 meters in length … The six of us watched the ghosts dance. And it lasted more than one hour, mysteriously and silently, our luminous companions kept quite deep under water ….
• This kind of meeting has happened before. For example, in 1893 the English ship "Caroline" passed near the island of Kelpat. The crew observed mysterious lights in the water floating between the ship and Mount Oakland. The glowing lights alternated between bunching up and lining up in a jagged line and following the Caroline at the same course and speed. After midnight they disappeared, but the next night they appeared next to the ship again. They seemed to come from an underwater vehicle that was moving in the same direction as the British ship.
The nature of the movement of the lights was unusual: “They flew in a massive group, and one light was at some distance to the right, then it disappeared, and the rest were rearranged in the form of a semicircle or diamond, then suddenly hung like a curved garland. On the horizon, under the lights, one could observe some kind of bright reflection or radiance."
• 1908 - Sea of Okhotsk. The case of light illumination was reported by the naval doctor FD Derbek, who was on the Okhotsk steamer. At night, a bright greenish-white glow suddenly appeared under the stern of the ship, it began to grow rapidly until it surrounded the entire ship. The ship was located exactly in the center of the glowing circle, which gradually began to take the shape of an oval and move with the steamer at the same speed. After some time, the oval separated from the vessel and swam separately, accelerating movement and taking the form of a light strip.
• Around the same time, a similar glow was observed by the crew of another vessel in the Sea of Okhotsk. One large spot under the stern split into several smaller but rather bright circles. Gradually, they began to move towards the horizon at different speeds. One spot had almost reached the horizon, the second was approaching it, the third, meanwhile, was only separating from the ship, and the fourth remained under the ship.
• 1976 - during a trip around the world, sailors Yulia and Doncho Papazovs from Bulgaria passed in the Pacific Ocean near the equator and saw huge glowing circles. It was like a spotlight shining in the depths. They appeared in the ocean at night, for several hours they sailed almost parallel to the travelers' boat. The next night it all happened again. Now, at intervals of 1–2 seconds, glowing bright spots appeared from the ocean depths.
• Mentions of mysterious objects that rose from the ocean to the surface with bright spots of light can be found in ship records. One of these, dated 1825, belongs to Andrew Bloxan. He, along with the entire crew of the ship, watched the "huge luminous body" that rose from the water into the heavens. The object was red, as if incandescent, and the light emanated from it to such an extent that it was possible to see the seabed.
• In the XX – XXI centuries, cases of observation of glow and appearance of strange objects became more frequent. In September 1972, the Tekhnika Molodoi magazine published an article describing an icebreaker making naval maneuvers in the North Atlantic Ocean. Once the crew of the ship witnessed an unusual phenomenon when a mysterious huge silvery object broke through a 3-meter thick ice that covered the surface of the ocean and disappeared into the sky. Blocks of ice, thrown up high, began to fall down, and the water in the remaining hole was boiling, steam was coming from it.
The Soviet mathematician and astronomer F. Yu. Siegel said that, according to some information, UFOs flew out of the ocean or hid in it. The scientist divided all theories about the origin of UFOs into three types: mountain, oceanic and space. He, like some other researchers, believed that the existence of all three species is possible.
Many cases of alleged UFO accidents were recorded, when an unknown device fell or sank into the water on its own. This kind of event took place in 1928 in Karelia not far from the village of Shuknovolok, located on the shores of Lake Vedlozero. The peasants told about a mysterious cylindrical body, the size of which was about one meter. Flames emanated from the tail of the craft, and the object looked like a red-hot one. He flew along an inclined trajectory without making a sound, then disappeared under the water. He was in the lake for a little more than a day, flew out of it, making a lot of noise and tearing out a huge piece of earth, after which he disappeared into the sky.
In the same year, a group of scuba divers came to the village and carefully examined the lake. They found that the bottom is very muddy, there are no remarkable reliefs on it. They found only a certain formation that looked like flowed out and solidified lava. This is not some kind of anomaly, as the divers claimed. True, the villagers still complain that strange interference still prevents them from watching TV, while there are no obstacles in the villages in the neighborhood. In addition, at the place of the fall of the strange apparatus, four-color luminous rings sometimes appear.
