Restless researchers are investigating various places that Count Dracula has visited, considering everything connected with him in order to shed light on the fate of this ruler.
One group of researchers once stumbled upon an interesting place on the map that interested them. Near the small village of Sona (Romania) there are about 13 pyramid-shaped mounds.
Researchers went to study this historical monument, but not everything turned out to be so simple. At first, the enthusiasts decided that these mounds were the burials of the Dacians, because similar structures are found in various parts of Poland and Romania and Hungary.
However, the local residents of the village of Sona tell a legend about how giants came to these places and wiped their shoes, and these mounds are nothing more than traces of the fallen off earth. Of course, this is only a legend and it does not explain anything, but the version with the burials of Dacians is more believable. The researchers turned to archaeologists and historians to shed light on the origin of these mounds, but they did not receive information from them. This is due to the state law prohibiting archaeological excavations in this place.

Therefore, a group of researchers suggested that this chain of mounds may be the tomb of Dracula, and the Romanian government hides this fact and does not allow excavations. Considering the fact that the count was known as a "vampire" during his lifetime, the huge mounds could be a kind of ritual that comprehended all people who were considered vampires. At that time, a stake was driven into the chest of the alleged vampire, and a heavy stone was placed on the grave so that the dead could not rise. Therefore, whole mounds could serve as such stones that covered the grave of Dracula and his retinue, so that they would not break out into the world of the living.
Of course, the hypothesis is rather strange, but not devoid of some sense. It is possible that under these mounds the ashes of one of the most terrible people in history are hidden.
