Holes in the Pinega swamp
In the Pinezhsky district on Bolshoy Sinbolot, local ufologists have discovered strange depressions in the ground. They saw it on satellite images. The phenomenon is represented by several identical holes 8-9 meters in diameter, arranged in a geometric "3 by 2" order.

To check whether this image in the satellite image is some kind of defect, the head of the Arkhangelsk-Kosmopoisk research group, Alexander UGRYUMOV, visited the site. “When I got to the circles, it turned out that some of them were covered with moss,” says the researcher. - Didn't dare to come close - the place is swampy. It seemed strange to me that birch grows only around the holes and nowhere else in the swamp. The question of the origin of the "circles in the swamp" remains open. We can say with certainty that they appeared many years ago."
Previously, similar holes were seen in 2013, in the deep taiga of Altai. There is an assumption that depressions in the ground may indicate a visit to the Pinega lands by extraterrestrial intelligence. Otherwise, how else to explain where such traces came from in the swamp?
The serpent under Karasovaya mountain
According to legend, this place is located near Nyandoma - a high stone mountain near a small lake. It is notable for the fact that all the hills around are covered with plants, and Karsova is naked. Locals say that sometimes you can see the mountain move and shake, as if alive. Every year the mountain becomes smaller - part of its soil crumbles into sand and is carried by the wind around the area.

In ancient times, there was a legend about this place that the mountain is on the shoulders of the evil mythical creature Kara-Skipper-beast - a huge snake that was imprisoned downhill by the Slavic gods. The mountain begins to move when the snake tries to escape from the ground. Old-timers even remember how in childhood they were forbidden to walk near the mountain, they said that the places there were dark and disastrous.
Hell triangle
Phologues distinguish the area of the Arkhangelsk region, limited by three points - the center of nuclear shipbuilding in Severodvinsk, the nuclear test site on Novaya Zemlya and the Plesetsk cosmodrome. Conventionally, this area is even called the Severodvinsk, or Hell, triangle. Here, according to the researchers, you can often see UFOs in the form of bunches of light, balls, sickles, black squares, dark rings and triangles of luminous points.

So, in March 1990, on Truda Avenue in Severodvinsk, one could observe a bright orange ball 10 meters in diameter, flying between houses at a height of 20-25 meters. And in 1993, an unidentified object with red flashing lights flew over the city of shipbuilders.
Goblin beguiled
Quite often, far from large cities, in the countryside, mysterious cases occur - sober, experienced local residents, for no reason at all, can get lost in the forest, walking along a proven route. This can happen, for example, in the forests in the south and west of the region, where Pomorie borders on the Vologda region and Karelia - in these places people sometimes could not understand where they were and left the forest in completely unfamiliar places.
Square in the forest
A few years ago, 10 km from the village of Doschanoe, Velsky district, in a remote taiga, a square burnt in the ground and birches uprooted were found.
In the untouched forest lay trees uprooted, as if someone had put them in the form of a square. The roots of the trees were burnt, as if from the inside. In the center of the square was a square, burnt in the ground, half a meter in width and height. What it was is still a mystery. According to rumors, aliens even looked into the house of a local resident, which, however, cannot be confirmed.
