In the course of numerous studies, scientists from the United States managed to develop a cure for Alzheimer's disease. It is called neurostatin. It is based on the substance bexarotene, which blocks the increase in a key protein in the human brain.

According to experts, neurostatin will help to cope with cancerous tumors. Therefore, the drug does not need to receive any patents, it has already been tested, after which it was approved by the US Department of Health. According to Michel Vendruscolo, a professor at the University of Cambridge, in the future, researchers will develop a drug that helps people who have reached old age fight a progressive disease.

American scientists add that neurostatin can be taken if a person has various cardiovascular diseases. The properties of the drug are capable of stopping the development of beta-amyloid protein at the earliest stages, which prevents the formation of the so-called protein "plaque" in the brain.
