The Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Technical Physics (part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom) has sent a letter to the universities of Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Snezhinsk about holding a competition of student works.
This appeal (a copy is available to the editorial staff of TJ) informs that the Public Council of Rosatom from September 5 to October 20 searches and selects students and graduate students of regional universities as potential experts in information work in support of nuclear energy. Based on the results of the competition, it is planned to form a personnel reserve in the field of safe development of nuclear energy.
To participate in the competition, students and graduate students, with the support of the staff of the departments, need to prepare a thematic presentation, an abstract, a video clip script, or material for potential publication in the press. A sample list of topics for reports is attached to the letter of the Nuclear Center.
Most of the topics on the list are of a common nature. For example, under item 4 there is the problem of the structure of waste in various industries, and under item 11, it is proposed to rank technogenic industries according to the degree of hazard. The students' attention was drawn to the last topics of the list.
Topic # 25 sounds like this: "Why didn't the Lord give a person the opportunity to feel radiation?"
Attached to the letter is a list of recommended literature of 37 positions, but it does not specify which source can help reveal topic 25.
