Eighteen kilometers from the center of London on the banks of the River Thames, in the outskirts of Richmond, there is an ancient building of extraordinary beauty - the Hampton Court Palace. This architectural monument was built in 1514. The architecture of the Middle Ages is clearly visible here, but also elements of the Renaissance style are added, the fusion of these two architectural directions from different times creates an incredible atmosphere of beauty, grandeur and harmony. The spacious halls of the castle are decorated with paintings by very talented artistic masters such as Brueghel the Elder, Raphael Santi and many others.

Cardinal Thomas Wolsey became the first owner of this beautiful estate. The Cardinal expanded and refined the nearby castle grounds, and a residence was also built for the royal family and for Wolsey himself. Then the cardinal presented this castle to King Henry VIII. The English king was very pleased with such a gift, he, in turn, built a bowling alley here, several large tennis courts, a hunting park of considerable size.

In this estate, festivities were constantly held, nobles in pompous outfits walked around the castle's outskirts, played games, hunted animals, and enjoyed the delicious cuisine of the best chefs of that time. All entertainments were accompanied by beautiful performances of musicians, dance events were organized, various festivals - luxury, noise, fun did not leave the ancient palace. The royal family really liked living in this picturesque place, because the wonderful nature around is breathtaking. Until 1760, the palace served as a residence for the royal family.

Like many other ancient castles, this one is not devoid of a mystical atmosphere. Therefore, those tourists who are attracted by anomalous phenomena tend to get here on an excursion.

Numerous ghosts of the palace

The fact that ghosts appear in the castle is just the fruit of someone's fantasy, it is reality. This is confirmed by the recorded unusual objects captured by the camera. The inhabitants of the Hampton Court Palace are already accustomed to the appearance of "guests" from the other world, who do not pay any attention to them. Perhaps the reason for the appearance of ghosts in the castle is the death of the wives of Henry VIII: Catherine Howard, Anne Boleyn, whom the king himself sent to execution, no one knows, but the fact that ghosts are pacing the halls of the palace is a fact.
