The Podgoretsky castle, famous for the fact that inexplicable phenomena have long been occurring in it, has recently become an object of research for American scientists. Pidhirtsi Castle is located in the eastern part of the Lviv region in the village of Pidhirtsi. The building, built in the Renaissance style, has been perfectly preserved to this day. For security reasons, the Pidhirtsi castle was built up from all sides with protective defensive structures.

Together with the ancient castles of Olesk and Zolochiv, it forms the “Golden Horseshoe of Ukraine”, this is the so-called excursion route for tourists through the ancient castles of the Lviv region.

Pidhirtsi Castle has been known to Ukrainian and Russian residents since Soviet times, because it was here that the shooting of the popular Soviet film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers" took place. This ancient building was presented in the film as the French Louvre.

People who work in the Podgoretsky Castle say that ghosts have been found in it since the 17th century. In order to record the obvious presence of ghosts in the castle, specialists from America arrived in Lviv region at the invitation of the director of the Lviv art gallery Boris Voznitsky and local historian Igor Zhuk.

Upon arrival at the castle, American ghost hunters installed the necessary equipment in the halls and alleys of the park, which, in their opinion, should detect heat, infrared and ultraviolet radiation and accurately determine whether ghosts are found here.

The old residents of the castle told the scientists that when some photographs were displayed, sometimes you could see an inexplicable smoky figure of an unknown person.

At the same time, the examination does not determine any defects in the photographs.

The local population often hears frightening rustles and steps. Rumor has it that you can see the White Lady here, who is most likely the ghost of the wife of the former owner of the castle, the Polish count. As the legend says, this young woman in those ancient times was immured alive by her jealous husband in the castle wall, where she died tragically.
