And why nobody remembers them?
Imagine that you are the head of state, and suddenly scientists make some kind of discovery that can turn the world upside down. You can, of course, bribe them to keep them quiet, but isn't it easier to liquidate them?
Nobody claims that this is happening all the time, but individual cases raise many questions. Let's look at five examples of scientists who made sensational discoveries and who died suddenly under suspicious circumstances.
1. Scientists from "GEC-Marconi"
In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan launched an ambitious defense project called the Strategic Defense Initiative (also known as Star Wars) to laser intercept and destroy ballistic missiles from space in the event of a war with the Soviet Union.
From 1982 to 1990, 25 scientists who worked for the GEC-Marconi company (the British arm of the project) died under mysterious circumstances. According to one version, they were killed by Soviet spies, but many suspect that this was the work of their own government.

2. Dr. David Kelly
In 2003, bioweapons specialist David Kelly anonymously released evidence that the UK authorities had falsified evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
When Prime Minister Tony Blair found out who was behind the leak, Kelly was summoned for questioning by a special parliamentary committee.
He was soon found dead in the woods a mile from his home. The police called suicide the cause of death, but since the court ruled to classify all the materials of the investigation for 70 years, we will not soon find out what really happened.
3. Don Wiley
Don Wiley was a leading expert in the field of chemical weapons, in particular anthrax. When anthrax outbreaks began in 2001, Wiley's car was found abandoned on a bridge with the keys in the ignition.
Later, his body was fished out of the Mississippi River. Around the same time, another anthrax specialist, Vladimir Pasechnik, died.
4. Rodney Marks
Australian astrophysicist Rodney Marks died under mysterious circumstances at the South Pole, where he worked at the observatory. For a long time, the authorities and the Raytheon arms concern did not give the body to relatives without explanation.
Later it turned out that Marx's death was due to methanol poisoning.
5. Scientists-polar explorers
During 2013, three researchers died, who at different times were engaged in the same project to study the effects of global warming.
Their colleague Peter Wadham believes that either the oil magnates or the United States authorities are behind their deaths.
… There is no indisputable evidence of these versions, which is not surprising - the authorities made every effort to prevent publicity.
