A resident of the American state of Florida claims to have discovered a two-headed alligator while walking his dog on the banks of a river. However, local authorities were skeptical about the man's statement.
The photo of the mutant crocodile was posted on his Facebook page by an American named Justin Arnold. “I walked my dog yesterday by the Hillsborough River and was surprised to see an alligator with two heads there. The State Department of Fishing and Wildlife said that several other people saw him,”he said in a commentary to the picture.
Arnold's statement was commented on by the State Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The experts noted that they could not say anything definite, having only one photo in their hands. “We have serious doubts about the authenticity of this whole thing,” said representatives of the commission.
According to UPI, local authorities claim that no one informed them about the two-headed crocodile. And they are not the only ones who were skeptical about the situation. University of Florida professor Frank Mazotti noted that creatures with abnormalities like this alligator don't usually live long.
