At all times, octopuses have seemed to man to be mystical and mysterious creatures. The most terrible legends were composed about them, telling most often about the tragedies when these monsters of the oceans sank ships and dragged many people into the depths of the sea.

Scientists have long proven that octopuses are very intelligent marine animals, possessing not only sophisticated cunning, but even amazing intuition that humans do not have. Suffice it to recall the world famous octopus named Paul, who predicted the outcome of famous football matches with amazing accuracy.

Recently, researchers at the University of Chicago proved the unearthly origin of octopuses. This conclusion was obtained by scientists based on the study of the DNA of these cephalopods.

The octopus's genome turned out to be so complex that even human DNA is inferior to it. For example, it is 2.7 billion base pairs, which is comparable to the length of the human genome (3 billion base pairs), and also includes 33 thousand protein-coding genes, which is several times more than in human DNA. And if we compare all this with similar indicators of other invertebrates, then the difference is generally colossal. Even the octopus has significantly more chromosomes than other marine animals.

Based on this, scientists concluded that octopuses of unearthly origin, they could well have come to us from space, other planets. How? We do not yet know this and, perhaps, will never know. However, cunning, cunning and well-developed intuition, not to mention the excellent adaptability to life in the depths of the sea, suggest that these mollusks have been abandoned on our planet, and in the prospect that they will become the rulers of this water planet in the future.

The assumption, although fantastic, is not devoid of some scientific validity. Moreover, there are several species of animals on Earth, quite intelligent, which can claim to be the rulers of our planet in the future. And all of them, unlike humans, are much better adapted not only to life on Earth, but also to any planetary cataclysms. Among land animals, these are, of course, clever rats, but in the depths of the sea, cunning octopuses pretend to be in the first place …
