A sensational discovery was made by English doctors - it turns out that the frontal bones of the skull can be restored. In fact, this was proved by an unusual British pensioner from the county of Northumberland

Doctors in England witnessed a unique case - in an elderly man, the frontal bone of the skull was completely regenerated.

In 1955, the now 72-year-old postman Gordon Moore from Northumberland County was involved in a car accident and suffered a serious head injury. Surgeons, trying to save the man's life, removed fragments of the skull in the frontal part and implanted a titanium plate on the damaged area.

55 years later, in 2010, Moore turned to the supervising doctors at Newcastle Hospital. The man complained of severe headache. The doctors decided it was time to replace the plate.

During the operation, the doctors were extremely surprised. When they removed the plate, there was completely regenerated bone underneath. The recovered section of the skull completely repeated the shape of the plate.
