Scientists representing the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, together with colleagues from the INP, the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk Medical and State Universities, the Neurosurgical Center of the Road Clinical Hospital and the University of Tsukuba in Japan, stated that cancer can be cured thanks to the "nuclear explosion" of the tumor. The experts used a new method called BNCT, which involves injecting a boron solution into the blood of a sick person.
This method of treatment is not yet undergoing clinical trials, but has shown good results at the research stage. A boron-containing solution is injected into the blood of sick people, which is actively accumulating in cancer cells. The scientists then irradiate the tumors with neurons; boron, in turn, absorbs them. As a result, a kind of nuclear reaction with high energy release is observed, which leads to the death of cancer cells, and healthy cells remain unharmed. The experiment was carried out on a brain glioma.
