Three crew members described the UFO as a "flying saucer." According to them, the aircraft was moving at high speed directly to the helicopter, so that the crew had to deviate sharply from the course. Rushing in pursuit of the UFO, the helicopter crossed the Bristol Canal, reaching North Devon. However, after they lost sight of the object and returned to replenish the fuel supply.
