The phenomenon of the manifestation of prophetic dreams has been known since ancient times. It has accompanied the daily life of people for thousands of years. But, as a rule, in ordinary people it does not appear often: once or twice in a lifetime, and only people who have the gift of “insight into the future” can see “prophetic” or “prophetic” dreams much more often. As a rule, such dreams are an omen of dangerous events both in the life of an individual and those associated with natural and man-made disasters, wars, terrorist acts, common to whole nations and other groups of people.
And, if negative events associated with the collective karma of mankind, as a rule, cannot be prevented, then regarding personal fate, a person, knowing in advance about an adverse event, may well avoid it. If, of course, he applies his will to this. According to surveys conducted by the American researcher Dr. Louise Rhine, in about 30% of cases when people tried to prevent an adverse event they saw in a dream, they succeeded. Therefore, our future is not predetermined and there are events that depend on our will.
For example, what a similar case, cited by L. Ryne, is described by Jean van Bronhorst in her book “Premonitions in Everyday Life”: “Louise Ryne told a story about a young woman who, thanks to her prophetic dream, saved her son's life. She dreamed that she was washing clothes on the river, and her baby, who had just started to walk, was playing somewhere nearby.
In a dream, she left for a minute to bring soap from the house, when suddenly she heard a splash of water. The woman immediately hurried to the shore and saw that her son was drowning in the river. The mother did not manage to save the child and he drowned before her eyes. The poor woman woke up, not finding a place for herself from the dream she had seen … Later that summer, she and her family went on a hike. One morning she was washing clothes in the river while her boy was playing nearby. Suddenly the woman remembered that she had forgotten the soap in the house. She was about to go after him, but suddenly a recent dream flashed before her eyes. She immediately hurried to the river and barely managed to drag her son away from the water.
This story, described in Dr. Rhine's book The Hidden Channels of the Mind, illustrates the paradox of changing the future. Indeed, if the son of a young woman did not drown in the river, then how can her dream be called prophetic? Since she saved the child, there was no tragedy that sent her warning signals. In the absence of a future event confirming the authenticity of premonitions, some researchers insist that this woman's dream was just a figment of her imagination, and not a harbinger of an impending tragedy.
From all these stories, we can conclude that premonitions give us the opportunity to make decisions that can change our lives. The young mother's dream gave her a chance to save her son, and she took it. In her dream there were enough specific clues about the impending danger. The woman recognized them, remembered her dream and took the necessary steps."
The possibility of changing the future testifies to the fact that it, our future, is varied. And sometimes, a lot depends on our choice. However, at the same time, there are also events that cannot be changed, i.e. which are a kind of rigidly established on the "line of fate" a kind of "bifurcation points" of events through which we have to go through in any case. However, at the same time, we can, within certain limits, choose our route between these points.
By receiving information about future events, we have the opportunity to prepare for them and avoid trouble or even trouble. Therefore, the ability to “slip into the future” or at least “read the signs” will become especially relevant in the near future, during the period of growth of natural and man-made disasters, political and financial instability, and probable social and other conflicts.
