Do you have a good memory? Do you remember phone numbers quickly? What about poetry? How long will it take for you to learn, for example, Onegin's Letter to Tatiana? A couple of hours or a day? But an eight-year-old schoolboy from Apatity, Anatoly Egorov, remembers everything almost immediately - be it poetry or prose. Teachers say - a genius is growing, parents are convinced - an ordinary boy. So who is he - Tolik Egorov?

Meet him. Tolik Egorov. 8 years. Second grade student. He can still read with great difficulty, but he memorizes any texts at once. Now he is reciting Nekrasov's "General Toptygin" - 130 lines, without hesitation, with expression.

Poems for Anatoly are a simple matter, the rhymed syllable is remembered quickly.

At school, while classmates are learning to read a poem expressively, he will already learn it by heart. However, there are no particular problems with prose either. "Deniskin's Stories" is Tolik's favorite work. When asked how you manage to memorize so quickly and so much, he also answers without hesitation.

Teachers and educators are not overjoyed. And the memory is good, and with mathematics everything is fine, and the acting talent is present.

Grow him up, study and be a great actor - you say. But no, our hero wants to become a chemist, to work not with ringing rhyme, but with dry formulas.

Maybe it will. In the meantime, the boy surprises the adults with his unusual memory. Recently, he became a laureate of an international reading competition held at the Eaglet camp, read General Toptygin there, and is now learning a whole play for Victory Day.
