North Africa. Algeria. Tosilianger plateau in the sahara desert. Here in 1957 an archaeological expedition led by the French scientist Henri Locke discovered a huge art gallery of the Stone Age. Fifteen thousand rock paintings. Scenes of hunting for elephants and buffaloes, giraffes and hippos, floating boats and mysterious rituals. The oldest images are 8 thousand years old.
But this is not what struck the scientists. In the grottoes and under the stone canopies of local gorges, they found mysterious petroglyphs, on which images of fantastic creatures were clearly visible. The largest of them reached 6 m. In height. Outwardly, they resembled a person, but the head in all the mysterious drawings was round and three times the size of a human. In the center there is a double oval, similar to a pressure helmet with antennas and wires. The collar with horizontal folds fitted tightly to the helmet. What is it? Spacesuit? Whether as a joke or seriously, archaeologists called these frescoes portraits of the great god of the Martians.
A few years later, Henri Locke received a mysterious package by mail. It contained several photographs, which shocked the scientist. The pictures showed the very great god of the Martians, but not in the form of a rock painting. It was a sculpture discovered on the Japanese island of Honshu. The same helmet and spacesuit. The sculpture is 8 thousand years old, the same as the drawings on the tosilianger plateau. Further more. Another photo clearly showed the image familiar to the scientist. But the most amazing thing is that this shot was taken on Easter Island. The striking resemblance of drawings and sculpture has puzzled archaeologists. Sahara, Japan, Easter Island. Giant distances. What is it? Just a coincidence? Hardly.
Today it is difficult to say whose image was captured by ancient artists in different parts of our planet. The secret of the great god of the Martians has not yet been revealed.
