The Ufa ophthalmologist-surgeon Ernst Muldashev has a whole lot of expeditions behind his shoulders - Tibet, Himalayas, Mongolia. With his colleagues, he managed to visit the labyrinth of the Minotaur, Dracula's castle, the "City of the Gods" in Tibet and other amazing places.

On the air of Mayak radio, Doctor of Medical Sciences, traveler and writer Ernst Muldashev spoke about what is in common between the Bashkir epic Ural Batyr and the work of the English writer John Tolkien's The Silmarillion.

Last year, he led an expedition to the South Urals dedicated to the search for stone people, whose existence is told in Bashkir legends.

- I analyzed the Bashkir legends and drew attention to the fact that the Muslim religion came to us later than to the Tatars and Uzbeks, for example, and the Bashkirs were under the rule of the sesens for a long time. The sesens are sages, enlightened, they have preserved the epics, passing them on from mouth to mouth. I read the epic "Ural-Batyr" and realized that it is close to the work "The Silmarillion". Plus, the Tibetan texts that I studied during the expedition all say the same thing, that everything on Earth is alive: the stone is alive, the trees have their own language and speak to each other. In particular, the Bashkir epic says that water is a living creature, a stone is much smarter than people,”Muldashev said. - I do not believe scholars-historians and I believe that legends are folk wisdom and carry much more.

One of the listeners of the radio broadcast called the studio and asked Ernst Muldashev a question about his attitude to the "Battle of Psychics" and whether it is possible that a new kind of people has appeared in the world.

- There are many more miracles in the world than we think. I can only say that I don’t really like this kind of transmission, as there is speculation in psychic abilities. My books attract this kind of people, even sometimes I post announcements on the doors - not to enter with predictions and clairvoyances. Predicting the future is the prerogative of God, not people, said Professor Muldashev.
