The thought of the future never left the human mind. She occupied and still holds a special place in the life of mankind. Currently, there are different points of view as to whether the future is predetermined. According to one theory, people can independently create their own future. Another theory says that the future is predetermined in advance, and what once was in the past will surely repeat itself in the future.
One of the most important questions in philosophy is the definition of concepts such as necessity and chance. From ancient times to the present, there have been fierce disputes regarding it. As a result of these disputes, two diametrically opposed points of view on randomness and necessity, deterministic and indeterministic, were determined.
The first point of view is based on the statement that chance does not exist, and everything in the world is natural. In this case, chance is seen as just an unknown necessity. The second point of view asserts that there is no need in the world, and everything is determined by coincidence.
Since ancient times, mankind on a subconscious level has been using the probabilistic-statistical method, without even thinking about it. The seasons, biological cycles, day and night - all this people have identified in the process of many years of observations and applied in practical everyday life. Gradually, as life improved, many of these properties and features were improved, some of them were reflected in the laws. Astronomy and meteorology can serve as a striking example of such accumulation of knowledge and their systematization into laws.
Some philosophers recognize the existence of a deterministic concept in living nature. But at the same time, they deny the possibility of its application in human activity. They say that a person, being a rational being, is able to make decisions on his own, thereby changing the course of events. Therefore, scientists are sure that the principle of determinism cannot be applied in this case, since a person is a source of various non-predetermined events. And if, in relation to a person, nevertheless, the deterministic principle is recognized, then this will automatically become the reason for the suppression of the role and significance of a person.
Such reasoning is untenable, because man is a part of nature, and, therefore, all the laws of nature apply to him. Mental conscious activity of a person is a product of brain activity, and the brain also obeys the laws of nature.
If we make the assumption that man is a source of accidents, then he must in this case be equated with the divine principle, which is higher than nature. Thus, if we assume an objective accident, this will create a discrepancy in the materialistic concept of the structure of the world.
With regard to the predetermination of the future, it is explained by the logical relationship of phenomena and events in the world. This is a property of matter, and it is this relationship that determines the universality and unity of matter. Thinking is an extremely complex process, therefore a person has not learned all of its laws. Therefore, a person gets the impression that sometimes his actions are thoughtless and accidental. In reality, every word and action is subject to an internal logic. They are determined by the coincidence and overlap of certain circumstances, which are also natural. Sometimes a person is forced to make a choice, make a quick decision. But even in this case, the factor of chance is excluded. The scientist is confident that by 2100 humanity will completely change. By 2030, there will be contact lenses with Internet access. Translucent LEDs will transmit an image without interfering with vision. Such a device will be able to perform the functions of an automatic translator from most foreign languages, recognize faces, and, in addition, provide people with a lot of useful information.
At the same time, the so-called spare parts for the human body will appear. Already, scientists are creating cartilage, bones, ears, skin, heart valves, noses, blood vessels, bladders and trachea. In addition, in 2070, technologists will appear, the use of which will slow down the physical aging of a person. Scientists, through experiments and research, have proven that reducing the daily intake of calories by just a third can increase life expectancy by 30 percent.
Michio Kaku also predicts that before 2100, humans will create programmable matter that will allow various objects to change their shape. So-called katoms have already been created, that is, microchips, the size of which does not exceed the head of a pin. In the event of a change in the electric charge, the katoms tend to regroup, thus taking the form of a plate, cup and other objects.
Therefore, it is quite possible that in the near future a person will live on Earth in parallel with robots, and, quite possibly, he himself will be partly a robot. And after 2100, it will begin to actively populate space.
It is quite obvious that there is little truth in these predictions. At all times, there have been and will continue to exist people engaged in predictions, forecasting, dreams, inventions of something new that did not exist before. And no one knows what the future will be. And maybe there is some truth in the words: "The future has not been written, it will only be the way we create it ourselves."
