Foreigners who visited Russia during the time of Peter's father, Tsar Alexei, noted people's interest in astrology and the appearance in Moscow of foreign calendars with predictions. In the year of Peter's birth, perhaps also thanks to the accurate prediction of Simeon of Polotsk, astrology became an academic discipline along with arithmetic, geometry and other subjects. This is evidenced by the "Selected Book in Brief about the Nine Muses and the Seven Free Arts", compiled by the translator of the Ambassadorial Prikaz Nikolai Spafari and the clerk Peter Dolgovo.

Astrological verses were composed in the capital at the birth of Peter. (R. Simonov. "Astrology of the era of reforms", NIR, N10, 1993). In 1679, for the seven-year-old prince, the artist Karp Ivanov Zolotarev made a copy of the painting in his father's dining room "Twelve Months and Heavenly Run" - an astronomical and astrological picture, then it was not separated. For the eleven-year-old Peter, his "uncle" TN Streshnev took from the belongings of the deceased Tsar Fyodor Alekseevich the composition of Y. Hevelius "Selenography". In the preface to the Russian translation of this book, Peter could read that astrology, as astrology was called in ancient Russian, "is deservingly for the government of the state." There is every reason to say that Peter in childhood and then in adolescence (in the German settlement) not only found himself in an atmosphere of respect for this ancient science, but also studied it himself. But already in adolescence, he was involved in very difficult, not innocent and secret games of adults: in the same German settlement, the secret "Neptune Society" gathered. Admiral Franz Lefort was its chairman, it included both foreigners in the Russian service (J. Bruce, A. Farhvarson), and Russian generals (F. M. Apraksin), and future associates of Peter. He himself was listed as the "first overseer" and got acquainted with magic, alchemy, astrology there, but in fact it was the first Masonic society in Russia, although it probably did not at first fully implement the ideas of European Freemasonry, and, again, presumably, was not connected before Peter's own trips to Holland and England (in 1697) with foreign Masonic lodges. However, in order to understand the environment in which young Peter was gaining occult knowledge, let us first tell you about the legendary Jacob Bruce.

Its lineage stretches from the deep past of Europe and goes back to the Norman conquest of England, in which Bruce's ancestors participated. His most famous ancestor was King Robert I of Scotland (1274 - 1329). In 1314 he defeated the English army, in which the knights of the secret orders, the Templars, helped him a lot, and in 1328 he won the independence of Scotland from England. His name is at the head of the Bruce family tree (K. Dilanyan. "The Secret Mission of Jacob Bruce", NIR, N 1,2, 1997). Robert I was both the first founder (June 24, 1314) and the head of the first Scottish Knights Templar, "Andrew the First-Called and the Scottish Thistle," as he was called. But the point is not in the name, but also in the fact that it was to Scotland that the few Templars who survived the defeat in France in 1307-1314 fled to Scotland, whose leader, Jacques de Molay, was captured along with hundreds of his secret companions on October 13, 1307 and burned at the stake on March 18, 1314, cursing from the fire the entire family of King Philip the Fair "up to the thirteenth tribe" … I must say that the hunt for the Templars throughout France was organized so strongly that only a few were able to escape, apparently warned in advance by the even more secret "Community of Zion" - which has survived to this day, and which we will talk about in the seventh chapter. So, these escaped French "Knights of the Temple" (Temple - Temple) found refuge in Scotland.warned in advance by the even more secret "Community of Zion" - which has survived to this day, and about which we will talk more in the seventh chapter. Here it is time to tell at least a little about the Templars, who later united with the Freemasons, or Frank-Freemasons (from the French franc macon - free mason) - about all this mysterious secret history of Europe. In fact, so many studies have been devoted to this story, including in recent years in Russia, that those who are specifically interested in these issues, I will refer to the detailed and thorough works of historians OA Platonov "The Masonic conspiracy in Russia" B. Bashilov's "History of Russian Freemasonry", A. Ya. Avrekh "Freemasons and Revolution" - these are all the books of the 1990s, using large factual and archival materials and very severely denouncing Freemasonry in all the troubles of Russia in the XIX and especially XX centuries. In them the reader will find references to earlier studies, including pre-revolutionary studies. I will also mention the book by Yu. K. Begunov "Secret Forces in the History of Russia"although harshly condemned now in liberal circles, it is also based on facts and documents. It is for the reader himself to evaluate the ideological concepts of the authors. In any case, the Russian reader has practically no choice - if we want to learn more and more thoroughly about the Freemasons, then it is necessary to turn to these studies. As for the core idea of Freemasonry itself, it, in my opinion, is best traced in the study of three English authors Michael Bigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln "THE HOLY BLOOD AND THE HOLY GRAIL" ("Sacred blood and the holy grail"), which withstood in the West since 1982, there have been twelve editions, and in our country there were 999 copies published in 1995 under the title “The Sacred Riddle”, with an openly anti-Christian foreword by a certain “Internal predictor of the USSR” (!) I have already written about this book in my brochure "The Mystery of the Tragedy of Princess Diana and the Prophecy of Nostradamus" (St. Petersburg, 1998). If we digress from the very interesting history of Freemasonry itself, according to legends going back to the architect-builder of the first temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, invited from the kingdom of Tire by the master Hiram (this is about the 10th century BC), and try to briefly reveal the essence of the ideas of these secret societies of Europe already in the Christian era to the present day, we can say the following:and try to briefly reveal the essence of the ideas of these secret societies of Europe already in the Christian era and up to the present day, we can say the following:and try to briefly reveal the essence of the ideas of these secret societies of Europe already in the Christian era and up to the present day, we can say the following:

They recognize Jesus Christ as a great teacher and prophet, like the ancient Jewish prophets, Buddha, and Mohammed, but do not believe in the Resurrection of Christ (remember here the words of the Apostle Paul that if there was no Resurrection, then all faith is in vain). Some of them consider the "resurrection" (for them - in quotes) as a consequence of the application of secret knowledge by Jesus the man himself (that is, without God), others - "Jewish tricks" (bribed Pontius Pilate, removed from the cross early, etc.), the third - simply not yet discovered, but by natural reasons. One way or another, but this is the main thing. All further ideology follows from this. First, if this is so, then the Church is a deceiver, conscious or unconscious. At the same time, we must admit that in the Middle Ages the Roman Church really showed the world "corruption in the head and members" (Luther's expression),the malice of the courts of the Inquisition and the multitude of innocent victims - and only now, at the end of the twentieth century, is it repenting to the whole world - but repentance has sounded! Secondly, such a "Jesus Christ", a great man, teacher and prophet, can unite all the religions of the world. Indeed, such a "Savior" can be recognized by both Muslims (they consider the great prophet Isa to be such), and Buddhists, and also, in the end, and Judaists. Therefore, it is possible to unite the whole world and build a great society based on the ideas of humanism, freedom, equality and brotherhood, which the Freemasons call true Christian values. It should be emphasized here that, as the messengers of Russia V. Soloviev and D. Andreev warned for a long time, the ideas of humanism (etc.of universal human values) without faith in the Resurrection of Christ will just be the last bastion and weapon of the coming (as they believed in the XXII century) Antichrist. The leaders of the Masons possessed and have deep secret knowledge, and many famous alchemists and astrologers, philosophers and scientists, artists and composers of the past (and present) were Masons: among them Nicola Flamel and Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon and Robert Boyle, Isaac Newton (known that he himself considered occultism and alchemy, and not the theory of mechanics, to be his main business) and Victor Hugo, Claude Debussy and Jean Cocteau are the last already famous figure of French culture of the twentieth century.among them Nicola Flamel and Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon and Robert Boyle, Isaac Newton (it is known that he himself considered occult and alchemy, and not the theory of mechanics, his main business) and Victor Hugo, Claude Debussy and Jean Cocteau - the last already well-known figure French culture of the twentieth century.among them Nicola Flamel and Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon and Robert Boyle, Isaac Newton (it is known that he himself considered occult and alchemy, and not the theory of mechanics, his main business) and Victor Hugo, Claude Debussy and Jean Cocteau - the last already well-known figure French culture of the twentieth century.

What's wrong with that? - another reader may ask, maybe he respects Christian spiritual values, but does not believe in the Resurrection of Christ, or explains it by "natural" reasons. - And the people at the head of Freemasonry were (and are) the smartest and most talented! That's right - if you do not believe in the Resurrection, then you will not see anything wrong with Freemasonry, on the contrary. But those who believe and read the Bible know that under the guise of a great leader, humanist, scientist and prophet, the Antichrist and his assistant (the false prophet of the Apocalypse) will come, and that the slogans “freedom, equality and brotherhood” without faith in the Resurrection are already rivers of blood have been spilled, and that these are deceptive slogans … And that the world is waiting for even greater, but the last trials in the Apocalypse …

From about the 15th-17th centuries, many of the largest European leaders, then rulers and sovereigns, were initiated into the high degrees of Freemasonry. Here it is also necessary to say that all Masonic lodges have a complex structure, many (up to 33) degrees of initiation, and at the lower and middle levels in most lodges against Christianity they say nothing at initiation, so that sincere believers were and are in many lodges Christians. What I have told above about the denial of the Resurrection becomes the initiation of the highest degrees, which, by the way, are allowed in the name of "great goals" any deception and sacrifice, even massive ones. Freemasonry itself is not homogeneous for a long time and, at least since the XII century, it was divided into two large branches: "Templars" (Templars), which then formed the backbone of the world-famous Frank-Freemasonry and a much more closed order "Community of Zion",about which something became known only at the end of the 19th century and more - in our time. Its name is connected not with the "Zionists", but with the secret that the leadership of this Community from the first century AD allegedly possesses - the secret of the heir to the Jewish throne (see "The Sacred Enigma" or my brochure about Diana and Nostradamus). In the twentieth century, according to researchers, many leaders and presidents of European countries (and the United States) are Masons of high degrees of initiation. The last president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, and, if I’m not mistaken, the first president of Russia, Boris N. Yeltsin, were also ordained to the Knights of the Order of Malta, he is probably purely formally, but just as likely by his actual merits, - from the point of view of the leaders of the Order of Malta. However, this order has always kept itself apart from everyone else and I'm not surethat all of the above about the Freemasons fully applies to him. In addition, this order was at the turn of the 18th / 19th centuries under the patronage of Paul I (against Napoleon), which explains since then the special attitude of its leaders towards Russia. I am so cautious about the Order of Malta because I would not like to be mistaken in the above reasoning, at least in relation to and only one organization or person. Of course, modern Freemasonry is very heterogeneous and we can find in the world both "semi-fascist" Masonic lodges (for example, in Italy, known in the 80s of the P-2 lodge), and theological, and oriented towards financial corporations, and politicized and theosophical - but the study of modern Freemasonry is not included here in my tasks. - Let's return now to the genealogy of Jacob Bruce, noting at the same time, that until about the 18th century, European Freemasons did not see Russia as a particularly important goal in their plans; their main interests were then in Europe, and then in the United States. But they have always dreamed of establishing themselves in all European countries "from the Atlantic to the Urals", and then uniting such a Europe under their own leadership.

In the 17th century, during the "glorious English revolution", many aristocrats fled from Cromwell to Europe, which was safe for them at that time, some also to Russia - for the honorable and well-paid Russian tsarist service. Wilim Bruce was among them. His son Yakov was born already in Russia, in the Pskov lands, on May 1 (11), 1670 - he was two years older than Peter. They came close no later than 1689, when Bruce strongly supported the king during the rifle revolt. Since then, they have become sworn brothers "on blood" and Bruce accompanied Peter in all his military campaigns: Crimean, Azov, in all battles of the Northern War with Sweden. In the victory at Poltava (June 27 / July 8 NS / 1709) there is a huge merit of Jacob Bruce: he was the organizer of the Russian artillery, which in many respects decided the outcome of that legendary battle. For only a year (as the king instructed him to),he managed to organize the production of magnificent "unicorns" and trained the soldiers to be skillful gunners. Remember, A. Pushkin:

These chicks of Petrov's nest -

In the face of the earthly lot, In the labors of power and war

His comrades, sons:

And Sheremetyev is noble, And Bruce, and Boer, and Repnin …

Probably the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, the first cavaliers of which were the heroes of the victory at Poltava, is associated not only with the date of the battle and the legendary wandering of the Chief Apostle through ancient Russia, but also with the Scottish tradition of venerating St. Andrew - everything came together on that day. The order itself was established in 1698, upon the return of the "tsar-carpenter", "bombardier Mikhailov" from Holland. Bruce became one of his first three gentlemen, Peter himself - the seventh. Jacob Bruce then took an active part in the active diplomacy of Peter I and was awarded the title of count; however, he probably never forgot the royal roots of his kind; in the center of his county Russian coat of arms was an old clan, with very complex Masonic symbols. Until the end of Peter's life, he remained his main consultant on all scientific issues. Was Jacob Bruce himself a Templar and was Peter I accepted into any order of "Templars" during his trip to Holland and England? Below I am quoting the aforementioned article "The Secret Mission of Jacob Bruce" by Karena Dilanyan:

“At the end of the 17th century, the fate lines of Isaac Newton and Jacob Bruce crossed. Newton derived his ancestry from the Scottish nobility, so the young descendant of the legendary and illustrious Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland, savior and guardian of the Templars, who arrived in Britain, could not interest him. We know from Newton's private correspondence that Jacob Bruce was privy to his personal affairs; in letters, Newton referred to Bruce's testimony, calling him "the colonel." But was Jacob Bruce a kind of "agent" of Newton as one of the masters of the Zion community? Trying to find the answer to this question, we enter the shaky ground of guesswork and comparisons. However, the material at our disposal speaks for itself.

Closeness to the Russian monarch, interest in the occult, Gnostic knowledge, hermetic sciences and, finally, real royal blood flowing in his veins, and besides the Scottish king, protector and patron of the Templars and the founder of the Order of St. Andrew and the Scotch Thistle, made Jacob the Bruce an irreplaceable candidate for spreading or at least keeping the ideas of the Community in the East. If we also take into account the fact that when the neophyte entered the order, the power of initiation spread to all of his descendants, then we can say that Bruce was a hereditary Templar. The very presence of these qualities in Jacob Bruce was sufficient reason to take the post of even the Grand Master of the Zion community! But Bruce was a subject of the Russian crown and brother of the Russian emperor, and therefore could influence the course of events and the politics of that part of Europe, which has long been interested in the Order of the Temple. We have already said that the Templars and the Zion community dreamed of creating a powerful state and that their interests extended to the Russian lands. The campaigns of the Teutonic knights are an example of this … One of the activities of the knightly Orders was associated with the creation of a psychological climate that could weaken the spiritual supremacy of the official Church. This mission was carried out by the dissemination of Gnostic texts, hermetic and occult knowledge, as well as the formation and support of secret societies like Masonic ones. The second direction is the influence on diplomacy and the reigning persons of the European courts. The third is the formation of dynastic marriages.that the Templars and the Zion community dreamed of creating a powerful state and that their interests extended to the Russian lands. As we know, Jacob Bruce acted more than successfully in the first direction, and the "Bruce calendar" confirms this - it was the first official astrological publication, a book that ran counter to the official church ideology of that time. The second and third directions - diplomacy and dynastic ties - were so closely intertwined that sometimes it was impossible to separate them. All royal families of Europe had family ties, and the Russian court was no exception. With the accession to the throne of Peter I, Russia changed its orientation towards Western Europe and literally burst into the political arena of the West, sometimes dictating its own terms. Of course, any associations want to have a strong ally. And Bruce was aware of many diplomatic secrets: it was no coincidence that Peter entrusted him with the most difficult missions …"

In my opinion, all of the above convincingly proves that Jacob Bruce since 1697 was an initiated member of the "Community of Zion" and carried out its influence in Russia, the main goal of which at that stage was Russia's entry into Europe. Bruce and Peter were the best suited for this purpose to each other. For astrologers, I will also say that their horoscopes are very closely related: for example, the Wheel of Fortune of Bruce's horoscope was in the Sun of birth of the horoscope of Peter, and the Wheel of Fortune of Peter was at the zenith (at the target point) of Bruce's horoscope. This means that Bruce's luck and the possibility of self-realization, disclosure and use of all his abilities (this is all shown by the Wheel of Fortune) are associated with the personality (Sun of birth) of Peter, and for the king himself, luck and self-realization coincided with Bruce's goals. The birth horoscope of Peter's twin brother shows very strong abilities of a medium and a magician, and an alchemist. The people considered him an ominous sorcerer and "warlock", but the Black Moon (original sinfulness, evil) is poorly expressed; light beginnings are much stronger.

Karena Dilanyan in her interesting research, in my opinion, only inaccurately estimated the role of the "Brusov calendar" and in general the role of the dissemination of occult knowledge in society. By itself, this knowledge is neutral, in the sense that it can be used both for good purposes and for evil - this applies to any knowledge, any "logic" - even astrology, even physics. Is the atomic bomb less dangerous for humanity than the "Bruce calendar" ?! The denial of the need for any knowledge comes from the Manichaeans, who believe that our earthly world belongs to Satan, "the prince of this world," therefore, in our world, everything is permissible - knowledge and ignorance, both good and evil, and truth - for their own purposes, but ultimately - in the departure from this world to the heavenly "good God", who gave the earth to his twin brother, Lucifer! - It's actually different, the second root of Freemasonry itself.

A personality is more complex than any scheme and ideas about it, especially such personalities as Peter and Bruce. This was very clearly manifested in the story of Peter's son, Tsarevich Alexei. He, as we remember, was against the European policy of his father, considered the spiritual values of the former Moscow Russia to be the highest and wanted to return Russia to the old order. In 1718, Alexei was deprived of the rights to the throne by his father's manifesto, and the enmity between them went so far that Peter decided to have his son executed. But in order to execute his subject, even his son, he needed a decision of the Senate court. So, out of fourteen of its members, only two refused to sign the death warrant to the tsarevich: Count Sheremetyev and Count Bruce. This decision played a role in excommunicating him from active work after the death of Peter I: Catherine I did not like those who gave their sympathies to Alexei. A year after the death of Peter, Bruce resigns and settles in his Glinka estate near Moscow. The last years of his life he was engaged in alchemy and chemistry, astrology and astronomy, medicine and his library, which consisted of thousands of volumes, it is not known where they are now. Many memories and even more legends have survived about Bruce's life, including his last years. The pond in his estate froze in front of the astonished guests in the summer and they were invited to skate on it; he was seen flying over Moscow at night - and so on, and so on. During his lifetime, he acquired the glory of a sorcerer and warlock, the people were afraid and did not love him. Jacob Bruce died on April 19, 1735 and was buried in Moscow, in Lefortovo, in the church of St. Michael. In the thirties of our century, the church was demolished, and the remains were transferred to the laboratory of Professor Gerasimov, but there they were mysteriously lost. However, not a few miracles have taken place and are still happening in this laboratory, because many remains of famous people have been there.

Was Peter I himself knighted in the Order in England? There is no clear answer to this question. The historian O. A. Platonov categorically rejects this assumption, but there are other opinions. It is known that Peter stayed in London for about a month, from January 11, 1698, and visited many times, in particular, in the Tower Mint, which was then in charge of the fifty-five-year-old Isaac Newton (who brilliantly set up coinage and finance in England). Many historians believe that the meeting of the king with the great scientist and, we add, the Grand Master, simply could not fail to take place. However, this in itself does not yet prove that Peter was knighted in the lodge. Another St. Petersburg researcher, V. N. Nikitin, in his brochure “The Rise and Fall of Simon Vokhva” (St. Petersburg, 1997) writes: “One of the manuscripts of the Public Library from 1816 tellsthat "Peter was accepted into the Scottish degree of St. Andrew, and, moreover, gave a commitment that this order will be restored in Russia … his written commitment existed in the last century in the same lodge where he was received, and many read it." In another manuscript of a member of the Lansky lodge (XVIII century) there is an entry: "Emperor Peter I and Lefort were received in Holland by the Templars." The manuscript "A Look at Philosophers and the French Revolution" (St. Petersburg Public Library) says that Freemasonry "existed at the time of Alexei Mikhailovich and Bruce was the Great Master, and Tsar Peter was the first overseer, then the Great Master Keith." It should be clarified here that during the time of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the Great Master of the Russian Tamliers was apparently Jacob's father, Wilim Bruce, who was also in the Tsar's service. By the way, brother of Jacob, Roman Bruce, was the first commandant of the Peter and Paul Fortress, and was buried within its limits. As for "Grand Master Keith", I don't know what it is. The first known order lodge in Russia (except for that of the "Neptune Society" in the German settlement) was organized already during the reign of Anna Ioannovna in 1731 - as the Russian branch of the Grand Lodge of England, which itself was opened on June 24 (n.s.) 1717 of the year. The first master of the Russian Masonic lodge was the English captain in the Russian service John Phillips, and the second was also the Englishman and Russian General James Keith (O. Platonov. “The Masonic conspiracy in Russia). “The great Peter was the first Bolshevik, who conceived of rebuilding Russia, who pulled it up on a rack,” - so it seems, Maximilian Voloshin wrote in 1918. The people called the king "the antichrist"; there were rumors that abroad “the tsar was replaced by a German pagan or a Jew from the tribe of Dan”. Some opponents of Peter specially collected all the biblical evidence of the coming Antichrist; Grigory Talitsky, a scribe of old books, argued this especially fiercely and openly. He even wrote a whole treatise "On the coming into the world of the Antichrist and on the end of the world." Gregory was, of course, seized by "the sovereign's people" and died under torture: he was roasted like a wild boar over low heat. Born under the sign of Gemini, Peter showed an ambivalent attitude towards religion in life: he personally was a deeply religious person, but in politics and fun he crossed every conceivable edge. His "joke drinking councils" and his attitude to monasticism, the elders, the holy fools revered by the former kings and their right to speak directly, the abolition of the patriarchate and, finally, his personal way of life - all this is the same heritage of history, like his great victories and great transformations … The last of the Romanovs, Nicholas II, did not like the memory of Peter, but we will talk about it in due time … In the fall of 1724, Peter caught a severe cold while helping to save soldiers from a wrecked boat on the seaside near St. Petersburg, and in January 1725 his position became hopeless. On January 27, he demanded a paper for the will, but managed to write with his left hand (his right hand did not work) only the famous "Give everything …", and the pen fell out of his hands, he could not say anything and died the next day, at five o'clock in the morning …the elders, revered by the former kings as holy fools and their right to a direct word, the abolition of the patriarchate and, finally, a personal way of life - all this is the same heritage of history, as well as its great victories and great transformations.
