Despite the fact that humanity is already exploring other planets, its own is still replete with many secrets. There are untouched corners of the Earth, where unprecedented relic monsters, as well as giant reptiles and reptiles, can still live. Most often meetings with them occur in the impenetrable jungle, but sometimes monsters appear in inhabited places.
Giant snakes
It is known that the officially recorded maximum length of a snake does not exceed 5-6 meters. However, there is a lot of evidence of encounters with truly giant reptiles, the length of which exceeded 40-50 meters. Most often, such monsters are found in the jungles of Latin America, there are also cases of observation in Africa and the countries of Southeast Asia. But especially often giant snakes were observed in the Amazon basin, in the kingdom of the impenetrable jungle. So, in 1947, an expedition of the Indian Protection Service was organized into the jungle, whose members met a huge snake there. He was killed with a firearm and examined by the expedition members. In their opinion, it was a giant anaconda, the length of which was 23 meters. But there is no physical evidence of this meeting,since it was very problematic to transport even one head of the monster through the impassable thickets.
In 1953, in the headwaters of the Amazon, another giant snake terrified the local population. To destroy it, a special expedition was organized. She coped with her mission, killing not one, but two reptiles, the length of which reached 40 meters. These monsters were captured on film, and the photographs were published in the local newspaper. On them one could see a dead snake lying next to the hunters. She was about the thickness of a man, and her head was like a barrel.
There are many similar stories of encounters with huge snakes in these places. The conquistadors saw them when they just started to explore new territories. From time immemorial, the Indians treated boas with horror and reverence - huge snakes that inhabit the impenetrable jungle.
In African countries, there are also frequent encounters with huge snakes. The most impressive can be called the observation of military pilots from a helicopter of a snake, the length of which was at least 40 meters. She was captured by a camera and the authenticity of this picture has already been proven by experts.
Judging by the descriptions, many of the reptiles found in Asia and Africa resemble the relict snake gigantophis that lived in Egypt and the Congo during the Eocene. Its length, judging by the fossilized remains, reached 20 m. Some researchers believe that the huge snakes that they meet from time to time in the forests are the surviving specimens of the gigantofis that have managed to survive from those times. There is also a version that these are just pythons and anacondas that have grown to fantastic sizes.

Meetings with such monsters are very dangerous, as they are very aggressive towards people and can easily swallow a person whole. Often, huge snakes steal livestock from people, and sometimes children and even adults become their victims. Despite the fact that there is no solid evidence of their existence, all evidence of meetings with them suggests that such monsters do exist.
Fantasy dragons in reality
Along with giant snakes, there is a lot of evidence of encounters with other creatures that look like dinosaurs. In the epics of many peoples there are stories about the battle of heroes with dragons and flying snakes, which are often described as reminiscent of prehistoric lizards. Therefore, the question arises how people who have never seen a living dinosaur could describe it so accurately and in detail.
In particular, at the beginning of the 18th century, a very extraordinary event took place in Arzamas - during an unprecedented storm that played out in the middle of summer, a real dragon fell from the sky. Written sources of those years speak about this, describing the monster as a typical flying dinosaur, representative of the Cretaceous period. This flying serpent fell to the ground already dead, as it was "scorched by the fire of God." The inhabitants of the city, remembering the decree of Tsar Peter on the collection of all sorts of wonders, placed the snake in a barrel with double wine and sent it to St. Petersburg with a passing train. Further, the trail of the lizard is lost - it is quite possible that the transporters simply threw out the carcass, and drank the vodka. Or maybe the dragon was nevertheless delivered to the Kunstkamera, but was lost among many other exhibits.
Meetings of people with relict lizards took place in ancient times, and occur from time to time today. There is a version that individual populations of dinosaurs could survive and adapt to modern conditions. But some researchers believe that ancient monsters can fall into our time through some time gaps from the past. How this happens is unclear, and which of the theories is more correct, further research by enthusiasts involved in this problem will show.
