In the Austrian district of Kirchdorf an der Krems, a strange incident took place: an android robot turned on itself, and then climbed onto a stove and thereby committed "suicide".

A resident of the commune Hinterstoder, located in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems, purchased an android robot to clean the apartment. According to the owner, the duties of the automatic device included daily maintenance of cleanliness. However, the routine work, apparently, tired the humanoid robot so much that he decided to rebel and end it all.

A few days ago, an android robot, having coped with the next task of cleaning up spilled porridge, was turned off by its owner. But soon, according to the owner, he turned on himself, climbed onto the stove and "laid hands on himself." The firefighters called to the scene were never able to explain what actually happened.

“For some reason, he (the robot) resumed its activity, got to the working surface of the kitchen table, and then pushed the pan and sat on the hot stove. That was the end of it, says firefighter Helmut Kniewasser. - It began to melt from below, so it finally stuck to the stove and caught fire. By the time we arrived, only a pile of ash was left of the robot."

The firefighters had to evacuate people from the building due to heavy smoke. They noted that the fire caused serious damage to the apartment where the android "lived".

“It remains a mystery to us how the device was activated and why it climbed onto the stove,” Helmut Kneivasser told reporters. "I don't know if this could be called suicide, but the owner insists that the robot was turned off."

Media representatives learned that the owner of the "depressed" android intends to sue the manufacturer of the robot.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that a violation of the functions of an automatic device entails unusual consequences. So, earlier it was reported about da Vinci's robotic surgeon, who began to beat patients during operations and clamp one of the "hands" of the tissues of internal organs.
