He survived the years of repression and the Great Patriotic War, he managed to convey to our days the truth that controlled time travel is possible.

The first to know the incredible story of this man was the famous researcher of anomalous phenomena Vadim Chernobrov. This is how he described his meeting with Yevgeny Iosifovich Gaiduchk: “This man came up to me and after a short introduction said:“I flew here in a time machine! - and introduced himself: - Evgeny Iosifovich. Fortunately, the researcher nevertheless decided to meet with this mysterious man, after which he regretted only one thing: that he had lost almost two years and had not listened to Yevgeny Iosifovich the first time he found him in Moscow.
“I was then, in the 23rd century, still a very young teenager,” this amazing person told Vadim Chernobrov. - Once, together with a girl, a little older than me in age, we got inside a time machine. The daughter of Yevgeny Iosifovich recalled that in the life of her father there were quite a lot of difficult-to-explain meetings. The most incredible of them seems to be the meeting of the young time traveler with the author of the famous "Time Machine" Herbert Wells … It happened during the stay of the science fiction writer in Leningrad. Wells unexpectedly expressed a desire to meet with Soviet children, moreover, from the very school and class where Zhenya studied. It is said that the writer himself approached the boy and, trying not to attract special attention, briefly spoke with him. So it turned out that Zhenya speaks English. What did the science fiction say to the boy? Alas, this remains a mystery.
It is difficult to explain the fact that such famous people as Kirov, Marshak, Olesha, Bulgakov, Bernes met and spoke with pleasure with a simple Soviet youth … Maybe people from the future still tried to find the boy and came into contact with the same Herbert Wells? During the war, he became a political worker, lectured on German fascism, and painted posters. After the war he stayed to serve, with his part he traveled not only almost the entire Union, but also Eastern Europe. Got a family, a daughter was born, and life passed unnoticed.
