American researcher of anomalous phenomena John Keel has published many books, including the famous 1975 "The Mothman Prophecies", which was filmed in Hollywood in 2002 in the film of the same name.

Keel was also very passionate about the Men in Black phenomenon and collected a lot of eyewitness testimony with their participation. One of these cases was strange even for a paranormal researcher. It happened in 1966 and Keel described it in his 1970 book UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse.

It happened in 1966 in the countryside near Owatonna, Minnesota. Late in the evening, local resident Mrs. Butler and her friend were walking near the field and noticed a scattering of moving lights in the black night sky. Suddenly, one of these lights shot towards the ground with great speed and stopped falling just a few feet above the field.

The UFO swayed over the field like a boat on the ocean waves, and Mrs. Butler, who was watching it, fell to the ground at that moment, as if under the influence of some kind of force. Shortly thereafter, the mysterious object again rushed into the blackness of the sky, and Mrs. Butler felt better and she rose to her feet. Both men suffered from severe headaches and general weakness over the next few days.

Years later, researcher John Keel came to Mrs Butler to record her account of the UFO sighting. But during the interview, he learned something else interesting from the woman. And he did not tell her anything about the phenomenon of "Men in Black", she was the first to ask him if Keel knew about the mysterious men who come to UFO eyewitnesses and look like they are military.

Keel was well aware of this phenomenon, he had already collected many stories about it, but he answered “No” so as not to scare the woman even more. And then Mrs. Butler told him that about six months after she and her friend saw a UFO on the field, a certain "Major Richard French" came to her house.

The man introduced himself to the military and began to ask the woman about flying saucers, but (as in all cases with the "Men in Black"), there was a lot of strange and repulsive in his appearance and his speech.

His speech was flawed and questions were asked out of place, and his skin was an unusual olive shade. His face also had an unpleasantly pointed chin. And he was not dressed in a military uniform, but in a black suit with a tie.

It would seem a typical visit of the "Man in Black" and then he had to threaten the woman so that she would not tell anyone about UFOs, and then leave and never come again. But this is where the most surreal part of the story begins.

This "Richard French" began to complain of stomach problems and Mrs Butler invited him to taste her freshly made fruit jelly. The man abruptly refused and left. But he came back the next day and again complained of a bad stomach. And Mrs. Butler again offered him jelly and this time he agreed to taste it.

The woman took the jelly out of the kitchen in a bowl and offered it to the man, and he began to look at the jelly as if he was seeing this dish for the first time. And when the woman gave him the spoon, he looked at the spoon with exactly the same eyes.

Then he awkwardly took the bowl in his hands and began to try to DRINK this jelly. Mrs. Butler was talking to him at that moment, but at the sight of it she immediately fell silent.

"Major Richard French" looked at the woman and seemed to realize that he had betrayed himself in some way and was doing something wrong. He quickly packed up and left Mrs Butler's house. She never saw him again.
