The Forest of Dean region is one of Gloucestershire's hotspots for extraterrestrial visits, according to researchers' data.
The most impressive record of a UFO visit to this area was recorded in April 2014. Then eyewitnesses reported that as many as four UFOs were seen above the docks in Lydney. They flew towards the bridge at sunset.
One witness stated that he and his two companions saw lights shining in the sky so brightly that they were visible to the naked eye.
Another UFO observer reported seeing aliens in Lydney when he was 12 years old.
It was 1998 when he witnessed the flight of two circular objects in the sky. They moved about 70-100 meters above the ground.
When the UFO was directly above him, it slowed down its flight, and then completely stopped. After that, it began to build up static electricity in the air, as a result of which the boy's hair on his head and body stood on end.
After that, the UFO resumed its movement and set off in a westerly direction, gradually accelerating.
The witness tried to follow him and ran after him for about five minutes. However, the UFO accelerated to incredible speed and disappeared in an instant.

There are also UFO witnesses from the small town of Ross-on-Wye, located nearby. There were 19 sightings recorded between 2007 and 2009, mainly in October.
Interestingly, all witnesses describe the UFO in the same way, despite a rather long period of time. It was shaped like a large disk and had a triangular tail. The object shimmered orange and red as it moved.
This coincidence of descriptions allowed ufologists to make the assumption that it was the same alien ship that flew in on a reconnaissance mission.
