They say that in order to become a real expert in any field, you need to spend 10 thousand hours, i.e. 24 hours for 416 days. Do I share this opinion? Not entirely, however, I will tell you that much more time was devoted to the study of the Cash Landrum incident than 10 thousand hours, but, nevertheless, we are not close to solving this riddle.

I thought it would be a good idea to take a closer look at the facts of this incident and shed some light on what has been called one of the ten most amazing Type II contacts in UFO history. For those who are not familiar with this incident, I will give a brief overview, however, there are many resources on the Internet where you can learn more about its details.

Fire diamond

On the evening of December 29, 1980, Betty Cash, Vicki Landrum, and her 7-year-old grandson Colby Landrum were driving Betty's car home to Dayton, Texas, after dinner at a restaurant. They were driving along the FM 1485 highway, which passed through a dense pine forest, when at about 9 pm they noticed a bright light above the treetops.

At first they thought it was a plane landing at Houston International Airport, about 36 miles away, and therefore did not pay much attention to it. A few minutes later they saw the same light at a bend in the road, but now it was much closer to them and much brighter, as if the heavens were on fire.

They said that the light came from an object in the form of a diamond crystal the size of a water tower and hovering just below the level of the treetops. From the bottom of the object, "flames emanated and intense heat emanated."

Betty stopped the car to avoid being caught in the fire, but the interior of the car became so hot that they were forced to jump outside, where the heat from the object scorched the skin of the eyewitnesses. They felt the skin on their faces burn, were seized with fear and wondered what was happening. Vicki, who was not at all interested in the aliens and did not believe in their existence, was in full confidence that they were watching the second coming of Christ.

Betty decided to take a closer look at the object, obviously not understanding or fearing the possible consequences of her decision. Vicki partially got out of the car and had to resist the frightened Colby, who held her and did not let her leave the car.

Despite the bright light, witnesses were able to see the object - it was dark in color, apparently made of metal, with small blue lights around the perimeter in the middle. Periodically, flames erupted from the bottom of the object.

Each time thereafter, the object rose a few feet, then the flame ceased and the object returned to its previous level. Even though it was a cold Texas winter evening, the body of the car quickly became so hot that it could not be touched. It also got very hot inside the cabin and they had to turn off the stove and turn on the air conditioner.

Burden of proof

This was the beginning of months of suffering for our trio. Within hours of the incident, they began to experience symptoms of acute radiation sickness: headaches, burns, blisters on the inside of the eyelids, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Betty, being the only one who got out of the car completely at the time, had even worse symptoms.

Betty after the incident - baldness and burns

Image

After a few hours, Betty's skin turned red, as if from a severe sunburn. Her neck was swollen, and her face, scalp, and eyelids were swollen and popped. She began to vomit, and vomiting continued throughout the night, and by morning she was close to coma. Three days later she was hospitalized.

Burns and swelling changed her appearance so much that a friend who came to visit Betty did not recognize her. Betty's hair began to fall out and her eyelids were so swollen that she was unable to see for a whole week.

Years later, Vicki still has skin problems

In the weeks after the incident, the true extent of the physiological effects on humans became even more apparent. From a talk by MUFON CEO John Schussler, who was an aerospace engineer at NASA at the time:

“Vicki lost about 30 percent of her hair, there were large bald patches on her head. When they reintroduced, they had a different structure. Colby only lost a small patch of hair at the top of his head, which subsequently branched off. Betty's injuries were even worse.

She suffered severe burns and had large watery blisters, some the size of a golf ball, on her head and neck. One of these blisters has spread through the eyelid to the right temple. She subsequently developed a fear of hot water, sunlight and other sources of heat.

In the year after the incident, she was hospitalized five times, two of which were in the intensive care unit. She lost more than half of her hair and had a severe rash the size of a large coin, which left her with permanent scars."

Doctors were perplexed by these symptoms, but assumed that they were caused by some type of radiation, but were not sure where or how it might have been received. Betty was transferred to the radiology unit in the basement of the hospital and visits were limited until doctors were able to assess the extent of her danger to others.

Chinook helicopter puzzle

But that night, Betty, Vicki, and Colby weren't the only witnesses to the strange activity in the air. That same night, an off-duty Daytona policeman and his wife were driving home from Cleveland, Texas.

Image
Image

Driving through Huffman County, they witnessed a large number of CH-47 helicopters flying over. In addition, a man living in Crosby, who is located just on the helicopter flight path, also confirmed that he saw many heavy helicopters flying by. But that night they saw more than just a flotilla of helicopters. Oilman Jerry McDonald was in his backyard when he saw a giant UFO flying right over his head.

At first he thought it was a GoodYear airship, but quickly realized it was something completely different. He said: "The object was in the shape of a diamond crystal and had a pair of twin nozzles on the back that spewed out a blue flame." The object was flying at approximately 150 feet and Jerry noticed two bright lights on the front, similar to headlights, as well as a red spotlight in the middle.

Was it the same object that Betty, Vicki and Colby observed, because the details of the description do not match? In any case, we have several witnesses confirming the testimony of our trio, which further points to the fact that something extremely strange was happening in the sky over northeastern Houston. So what exactly did each of them see that night?

John Schussler's investigation

John Schussler with Becky, Vicky and Colby

Image
Image

Under the auspices of MUFON, John Schussler put together a team of experts from various fields who could explain the visual evidence of eyewitnesses, as well as the physical marks left by the object on the burnt trees.

A stranger circumstance is also that the highway pavement was hastily replaced a few days after the incident, with no official documents from either Montgomery County or the Texas government found.

Soon, another testimony came over the Internet from an anonymous witness:

“In early January 1981, I was driving with a friend who lives in Conroe, Texas, on the same highway (FM 1485) to get to work in East Houston. We usually leave before sunrise to avoid traffic jams in the Conroy area and get to work by 7 am. So it was still dark when we hit the road.

It was almost immediately after the Cash and Landrum incident, but then we knew nothing about it, since their story had not yet made it to the press. In the area of New Kanee highway, which was completely free, we stumbled upon an incomprehensible checkpoint, which, we assumed, belonged to a team of road workers working in the dark with a single source of light, but at the same time it seemed that there was serious road work going on.

As a result, we were turned back to New Caney, as the highway was completely closed. I then thought that it was somehow strange to carry out road works simultaneously on both lanes of the highway without displaying warning signs such as "Detour", "Passage is closed" or "Attention, people are working."

Unless, of course, urgent emergency work was carried out. We then assumed that the fuel truck overturned and burned down, damaging the roadbed, which caused urgent repairs. In the headlights, we were able to see a very small number of road machinery and equipment - a couple of dump trucks, a front loader, a road grader and a couple of other equipment that we could not see.

All equipment was without any identification marks. I guessed they were asphalt pavers, as the air smelled of creazote and asphalt. None of the workers had reflective overalls, which also looked very strange. They removed the old asphalt and laid the new one. In the dark.

Core with asphalt sample

Image
Image

Really weird. In the 2008 UFO Hunters episode "Alien Fallout", the creators focused on this stretch of highway and even took asphalt samples that showed that the surface had indeed been completely replaced.

This is strong evidence of what happened here and that the military wanted to completely cover up the incident. From my point of view, this is indisputable proof of their awareness of this event! This small piece of asphalt is already quite enough to dispel any theories about the falsification of this event by our trio.

Yes, there are still people who believe that Becky and Vicki deliberately subjected themselves to such physical torture in order to organize some kind of clever financial scheme. Suppose they even hired a team of road workers to replace an entire section of highway, and even in the middle of the night?

Refute everything

When the women were firmly convinced that the military was involved, they filed a lawsuit against the US government. The Law Library at Bergstom Air Force Base contains a transcript of a conversation dated August 17, 1981 between Betty Cash, Vicky and Colby Landrum and representatives of the United States Air Force, in particular Captain John Camp.

The tape provides a detailed account of both women and Colby regarding this incident. You can read the full transcript here, but I would like to point out a part of the conversation that, in my opinion, is very indicative of the style of thinking of the military about the incident.

Captain John Kamp: Okay Miss Landrum, what do you expect from our conversation today?

Betty Cash: Well, I hope there must be answers somewhere, you know? …

Colby Landrum: Exactly! Vicki Landrum: … and where is the best place for this, if not in the government, because I think it should protect us in every possible way, right? And because my husband fought abroad for two and a half years … he has two orders of the "Purple Heart", and if we are not protected, then what was he fighting for then?

Captain John Kamp: Good. Now I need to confirm that, uh … I think this … Rep. Williamson said that since 1969, the Air Force is no longer … no longer an authorized investigating body for UFO sightings … part of the story the congressman told is true … uh … Until 1969 there was a Blue Book project….

This project was supposed to basically store all the sightings … all the incidents where people saw UFOs and what happened … in 1969, Congress said that the Air Force would not do this anymore.

Then, in 1974-75, the then President of the United States recommended that NASA study the issue of reopening the Blue Book project, if it serves the national interest, with the idea of studying UFOs and similar incidents in the United States. NASA replied that they would not resume the project. The reason I’m telling you all this is because since you told me your story today … I have absolutely no power to do anything about this and at this level …

Betty Cash (excited): So what can we do now?

Obviously nothing. In early 1982, the Air Force announced that none of their helicopters were involved in the incident, and the US Army Inspector General's Office sent Lt. Col. George Sarran to investigate. But even he could not challenge the veracity of the victims' claims.

“Ms. Landrum and Ms. Cash are trustworthy,” Sarran wrote in his report. “The policeman and his wife are also credible witnesses. There is absolutely no feeling that any of them tried to exaggerate the truth."

On March 19, 1982, Sarran called John Schussler and provided him with full support and coordination. In the end, he was unable to find any traces of helicopters belonging to any branches of the military, not the National Guard or anyone else.

The estimated scale of a hypothetical military exercise during the holiday season would have required extraordinary logistical support, but no documents have ever been found to support such an operation. Other investigators of this incident also could not find those who owned these helicopters. Neither civilian nor military airfields knew anything about them.

Legitimate attempts to get answers from government agencies, in the end, came to nothing, since it was not proven that UFOs or helicopters were the property of the US government. In 1986, a judge completely closed the case on the basis of expert testimony that an aircraft such as the described UFO had never been in service with the army.

Soon after that, the investigation of this case completely faded into the background. So what kind of aircraft was it and will we ever be able to answer this question? An experimental military apparatus? It seems that this should be the most popular theory, since a large number of military helicopters were seen in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle.

Secondly, people tend to assume that if something throws out a column of flame and is likely to emit strong radiation, then it must be something made by people. Using Occam's razor method, this assumption makes sense and is the most logical conclusion, however, this theory does not take into account several key factors:

Brad Sparks, a radiologist who investigated the case for MUFON, determined that the type of radiation was not ionizing, being the only type of radiation that could cause radiation sickness. Neither infrared, microwave, or ultraviolet radiation cause radiation sickness.

If our trio really had radiation sickness from ionizing radiation, then they should have died within a few days or weeks, because the onset of the symptoms of the disease was so rapid (after 30 minutes) and they were so severe that they were receiving a lethal dose. radiation.

It is an established fact that Betty Cash was isolated in the basement of the hospital, where she was treated for her injuries in a specialized room for radiation-affected patients. All doctors and nurses who treated her were required to wear special protective suits.

John Schussler, head of the MUFON investigation into the incident, concluded that the aircraft “… was not one of ours. We still do not have the technology to lift such an apparatus as witnesses described it, which was at least 90 feet (over 27 meters) high.

If it were a military project, then, most likely, the helicopters would have been present on site from the very beginning. But everyone who saw them claimed that the impression was created that the helicopters were chasing this object."

Dr. McCleilland

Image
Image

The experimental military aircraft theory was subsequently supported by Dr. McCleilland, Betty Cash's first attending physician. At a meeting with the UFO Hunters' film crew in 2008, he said that he had spoken to "knowledgeable" people who said there was an accident with the WASP 2 aircraft.

A quick search on the Internet reveals that this should be a continuation of the US Army project called "WASP" - personal vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. However, this project has nothing to do, even approximately, with what our witnesses saw. Sorry, Dr. McClelland, but these "knowledgeable" people don't even come close to the truth.

In theory, it can be assumed that this was an experimental military facility with an atomic engine, because the US military conducted experiments with airplanes and cruise missiles with nuclear engines back in the late 1950s. But all of this research was highly classified and was carried out exclusively at the Nellis nuclear test site and the White Sands missile test site, which are far from Texas.

It is strictly forbidden to carry out experiments potentially dangerous for civilians, even the simple transportation of nuclear charges across the country has the strictest procedures. Thus, the question arises - maybe there was an accident with a device that does not have a nuclear engine, but with some unusual power plant, and this non-ionizing radiation was a by-product of a system failure?

It is quite possible, but if this ship were human hands, then the engineers would have known about this long ago and they would already be working to eliminate the potential danger from such a radioactive threat. But in any case, such tests would not be carried out near the huge Houston, Texas.

Alien ship?

There is a possibility that it was indeed an alien alien ship. It is possible that our trio simply ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and they suffered the consequences of this contact.

Burn marks on the body of Steven Michalak

Image
Image

But this is not the first time that witnesses received similar injuries from radiation from close contacts of the second kind. Around noon on May 20, 1967, Canadian Steven McAlack, a Winnipeg mechanic, was engaged in amateur geological exploration in the Falcon Lake region of Manitoba.

As he examined one of the rock formations, two unidentified aircraft appeared in front of him. One of the UFOs remained in the air and after a few moments flew away at great speed. The second UFO landed a few hundred feet from Stephen. When he began to approach the UFO, the hatch opened and voices were heard from the UFO.

Mikalak approached the UFO, but could not see anything through the open hatch due to the bright yellow-blue light emanating from the object. He tried to make contact with those who were inside the ship in English, Russian, German, Italian and Ukrainian, but to no avail. When he approached the object several feet away, the hatch closed.

He heard some kind of ringing, the object began to rotate counterclockwise and was lifted off the ground. Before the object began to lift off the ground, Mikalak reached out and touched the surface of the object, causing his glove to immediately set on fire.

As the object began to take off, a jet of exhaust fumes burned the hat and clothing

Image
Image
Image
Image

Stephen, he suffered severe burns to his abdomen and chest. As a result, he was hospitalized. The doctors who examined and interviewed Mikalak were unable to explain the cause of these burns. Forensic experts from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police conducted a thorough examination of Stephen's burnt clothes, however, they could not find an explanation for the nature and causes of such burns.

Soil samples taken from the UFO landing site were analyzed and revealed a high degree of radioactivity and were immediately disposed of. At the same time, traces of radioactivity were found only on a small area of soil directly at the site of the UFO landing. The analysis was carried out by radiologists from the Ministry of Health, who could not explain the cause of the radioactive contamination of the area.

The key point in this case is that Stephen received unusual burns. And in this case, we are faced with an incident with an aircraft of unknown origin, which caused physical injury to the witness and, possibly, emitted an unknown type of radiation - 13 years before the incident with the Cash and Landrum.

Malfunction with a ship from the future?

In accordance with the existing theory that the "aliens" are actually people who travel in time from the future to our reality, speculation has arisen that this ship belongs to "us", but flew from the future.

I understand that this may seem like a far-fetched theory, but no more far-fetched than the theory that the military allowed a huge, irradiating object of an unusual shape to fly freely around the city of Houston in 1980. There is a strong possibility that this object was indeed of interdimensional origin, and the helicopters were launched into the air to intercept what should not have been there at the time.

Based on the unstable nature of the trajectories of the helicopters, as well as on the words of our trio that “it seemed as if the helicopters were trying to surround the object,” we can assume that this situation was a complete surprise for the military. It is quite clear that they did not want to miss the object, and the question whether it was “ours” or not remains open.

Unfortunately, the military is still fascinated by the idea of supplying military equipment with virtually unlimited energy sources in the form of nuclear engines. Therefore, it would not be a surprise for me if this object were “our” development, just not from our current reality. Keep in mind that a very similar incident occurred in Randlesham Forest in England the night before our incident (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Randlesham Incident).

One of the military police officers, James Panniston, sent into the forest to investigate the landed object, underwent a regressive hypnosis session in September 1994. Part of the transcript of this session:

Penniston: They ask me if I know what a "binary" is? I know a binary code. They are time travelers … They are us ….

Hypnotherapist: From how far away is the future?

Penniston: From far away. Very distant …

Hypnotherapist: What do they need?

Penniston: I'm not sure, but it has to do with the chromosome work. Something like that …

Hypnotherapist: How Do They Get Them?

Penniston: They just take them.

Hypnotherapist: Where?

Penniston: From the bodies of other people … They (the time travelers) were intercepted (in the forest). They have problems … All odds are against them …

I do not think we can rule out this version, just as we cannot dispel any other theory, no matter how incredible it may seem.

It is my deep conviction that the Cash Landrum incident and the Randlesham Forest incident in England, which took place within 24 hours, are closely related. The details remain to be studied, but timing is very important.

We have two high-profile incidents, each of which has a very strong evidence base and they occurred within 24-48 hours, so we should pay serious attention to the possible relationship between these two cases. The case in England is also quite detailed and described, as well as the Cash Landrum incident, if not more, but I will not give all the details now, because you can easily find them on the Internet yourself.

However, here are a few creepy coincidences between the two cases:

An aircraft in England also emitted a bright red light, which was painful to look at. One of the objects, presumably, dripping molten metal, occasionally bursting red flames. In both cases, there was an intense release of heat, and both cases had the effects of unknown radiation The devices in both cases had similar design elements in the form of a diamond crystal and a pyramid. Perfect geometric shapes are very characteristic of most UFO sightings, especially those associated with the theory of intertemporal movements.

As discussed above, Penniston, under the influence of regressive hypnosis, described the aliens as "time travelers." They arrive here in teams, each of which has its own specific tasks, a specific mission.

The target of each of the teams is a specific population group, they do not meet people by accident. When the hypnotherapist asked Penniston what the purpose of their missions was, he replied, “They are in serious trouble. Their world is not the same as it is now. It is dark, in poor condition. Bigger pollution, much colder."

Under hypnosis, Penniston also talked about the fact that in the future there are very large social problems, as well as difficulties with the reproduction of the population. Accordingly, one of the tasks of aliens from the future is to collect sperm and eggs so that their species can survive. When the hypnotherapist asked what kind of species it was, Penniston replied that it was us. "They are people."

So is the fiery and radiation-emitting object in Texas related to the Randlesham Forest incident in England? Was the military aware of these two incidents on opposite sides of the ocean and their relationship to each other?

Conclusion

At the end of December 1980, we saw not one, but two incredible cases, separated by 24 hours in time and almost five thousand miles in distance, but having some supernatural similarities. This is only an assumption that the two incidents are related, but if you look closely at both cases, it is quite easy to draw some fundamental conclusions:

1. The object from Texas was dangerous and behaved unpredictably, which may be evidence of a loss of control over artificial intelligence or remotely controlled aircraft.

2. A large number of military helicopters aimed at intercepting the object indicates that the military experienced an absolutely emergency situation.

3. The incident has become a nightmare for the military and it is completely incomprehensible why nothing has surfaced over the past 34 years. This speaks to the highest level of secrecy imposed on this incident.

4. Absolutely this was not the Second Coming. We may never know the truth about the origins of this aircraft, but we do know that it used an unconventional propulsion system that produced a lasting and negative physical impact on eyewitnesses, changing their lives forever. Much is known about the Betty Cash, Vicky and Colby Landrum incident, but there is still more to be learned and understood.
