It's no secret that the universe is full of mysteries. Humanity has just learned to get out of the planet: we got to the moon and even managed to send the Voyager 1 probe to explore the endless space beyond the solar system. Much of what we have learned about deep space creates even more incomprehensible gaps than there were before. Here, for example, are several mysterious phenomena, each of which may well be the key to understanding the structure of the universe.
Black holes
Black holes form when a giant star collapses. An explosion in a relatively small space causes a gravitational field of such intensity that even the surrounding light falls under its influence. We have proved the existence of this strange phenomenon theoretically - however, we have not yet seen any of the Black Holes. A person can only guess what they really look like.
Huge voids
Unlike a black hole, huge voids cannot be called a hole in space. They are just places with nothing. No matter, no dark matter. Light can pass through such areas, although scientists believe that it is charged with some form of "dark energy."

Dark matter
Dark matter is one of the main mysteries for modern astronomers. To understand what exactly it is like will mean almost to reveal the secret of the universe, since cosmologists believe that space is 27% dark matter.
Great attractor
This gravitational anomaly is located in intergalactic space at a distance of 250 million light years. The mass of the Great Attractor is tens of thousands of times the mass of the entire Milky Way. We are hardly alone in the Universe, because it is here that the chance of the existence of another civilization is very high.
Saturn's new moon
In December last year, astronomers observed an amazing phenomenon: a real new moon began to form at Saturn. The natural satellite of the planet was formed on one of the ice rings and scientists cannot understand in any way what was the first impulse. At the end of 2016, the Cassini spacecraft will return again to survey Saturn - perhaps this will help cosmologists unravel another mystery of the universe.
Star Tabby
The star KIC 8462852, playfully dubbed "Tabby", has attracted attention for its strange properties: the nature of the reflected light can indicate that real construction work is underway around the star. And this is not some kind of insinuations from the yellow press - about the possibility of the existence of a highly developed extraterrestrial civilization engaged in the construction of structures for the accumulation of stellar energy, said Tabeta Boyajian, lead author of the NASA study.
Dark energy
The second component of our universe is dark energy. It, purely theoretically, was discovered by astronomers in the late 1990s. They concluded that the expansion of the Universe is accelerating over time, which requires a new, not yet discovered form of energy.
