American and European astronomers have discovered three Earth-like exoplanets near the red dwarf TRAPPIST-1, two of which are located in the potentially habitable zone. One of the authors of the study reported that it is possible to test them for habitability within 10 years. If during this time traces of liquid water are found on exoplanets, then in 25 years it will be possible to determine the presence of life on these planets.
