The British resident claims that his body for six years "devoured itself from the inside", rejecting any food due to illness. His story was told by the Daily Mail. In 2009, 45-year-old Lee Baker from the English city of Margate was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, and some time later - type 2 diabetes. For four years of treatment, the Briton "hit rock bottom", and over the next six years suffered from a more serious disease - gastroparesis (indigestion, in which the activity of the stomach muscles decreases).

The Briton could not eat solid food, as a result of which he became very thin. He drank four milkshakes a day and over the past two years has lost weight from 114 kilograms to 50. “As soon as I ate something solid, after one or two minutes, maximum five, I felt bad, and all the food came out, - explains Baker. "My muscles were consumed by disease, as was all my fat."

Baker's wife admitted that at that time there was “nothing left” of him. She was very upset with her husband's illness. According to her, he lost all vitality and could not cope with many daily activities. However, to cheer up his wife, "I always tried to keep a smile on my face." “The most difficult thing that I have experienced during a series of diagnoses from sarcoidosis to gastroparesis is the statements of others that all problems are in my head,” recalls the Briton. Everything changed when his wife stumbled upon an article describing similar symptoms.

Then the family went to the hospital and received the necessary treatment. Thanks to the stimulating treatments, two months later, Baker ate solid food for the first time in six years. “My first meal was two slices of toast and peach yogurt, which I ate at the hospital,” says the man. "The toast looked just disgusting, but it was the tastiest food I've ever had."

As a result of the treatment, the Briton's condition began to recover. Baker got rid of nausea, began to eat well, and even recovered from diabetes. In two to three weeks, he gained ten kilograms of weight and acquired a healthier appearance. The convalescent claims that the victory over the disease gave his life "special meaning."
