This story began at the beginning of the last century. On August 15, 1908, a young member of the government, Winston Churchill, at Blenheim Palace, was admitted to the Albion Grove of the Ancient Druid Order. The priests of the ancient Celts - the Druids lived in the territory of modern England and France and disappeared many centuries ago. The Druids had no temples. Divine services were performed in sacred places, most often in oak groves. The Society of the Old Order of the Druids was, after the model of a Masonic lodge, formed in London in 1781. On the area, which, probably, because of the boulder sticking out of the ground, was called "Stone hand", and after the appearance of blocks of flooring - "Stone hang", "reconstruction works" began. Churchill was well acquainted with the Arabic language and, apparently, that is why he called the ancient monument being recreated for the Druids, in consonance with the previous names, "Stone Hajj" (stone hajj). In order not to share the glory of the most ancient people with the Arabs, the object was named "Stonehenge" (Stonehenge).
