Over the centuries, people have repeatedly talked about encounters with UFOs and representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations. One of the most recent high-profile cases was the landing of an alien ship in Voronezh in 1898. This case of contact with alien beings became, perhaps, the loudest in the history of the USSR and quickly spread throughout the world. Some witnesses claimed that they saw the aliens and even contacted them.

Children playing in South Park were the first to witness the visit. They told their parents that strange white glowing balls suddenly appeared in the sky above the park. After that, one ball landed on the site and 2 creatures emerged from it, one tall, much higher than the average human height, the second, on the contrary, very small.
The children assured that the aliens pointed some object at them, paralyzed them for a while, and then fled in fear. At first, the parents treated the stories as an ordinary children's invention, but soon they themselves saw the aforementioned balls in this place.
Some of the parents turned to the local newspaper, and after the note given in it, there were many witnesses of the events described among the people living nearby and those who passed by. Moreover, the witnesses were of various ages and professions. The story received an incredible resonance and quickly spread, first across the USSR, and then around the world.

After this incident, a real investigation began in the city. There were witnesses claiming to have seen UFOs in other places, some even brought photographs. Investigators and scientists worked on the spot, and finally the version of events was published.
Officials announced that there was no evidence of the origin of anything anomalous, although the ground where the balloon allegedly landed was contaminated with radioactive substances. Scientists explained this by the fact that radiation rain periodically falls after the Chernobyl accident.
Assumptions of ufologists
Specialists studying UFOs were not satisfied with the official version of events. First, it seemed strange to them that the radiation was increased only in a certain area, where the ship allegedly landed.
After all, if the radiation rain had passed, dangerous particles would have been found in other territories. Secondly, not far from Voronezh there is an anomalous zone, where the pilots have repeatedly encountered incomprehensible flying objects.
And, finally, ufologists were embarrassed by the fact that one of the witnesses assured that there was a symbol resembling the letter "Zh" on the alien ship. UFO experts claimed that this was a sign of the planet Ummo, but the witness could not know this and falsify his story.
However, most believed that this was just a falsification created by children. During this period of time, the topic of UFOs and various anomalies was, as they say, on the wave, which is why the story has grown so rapidly.
Now it is difficult to say with certainty whether alien beings have visited Earth or not, but it is difficult to assure that earthlings are the only living beings in the Universe. Research continues, and ufologists regularly receive information about new UFO visits.
