Today I want to tell you one incident that happened to me and two of my friends. Here is how it was…
It was summer. The three of us sat on the bench and chatted about all sorts of nonsense. Tired of hanging around the city. It was boring and then I invited the guys to go hiking so to speak. Not that just a specific hike, but an easy walk with an overnight stay in the field. All agreed. We agreed to go out the next day in the morning.
The night passed and that very morning came. Each of us took with us what we could. Not much food, matches, knife, rope and empty plastic bottles. At ten o'clock we met at the railroad and I took my friends along the route. There were two ways to go to the place where I was leading them. Along the highway or bypassing through villages, through spruce groves and along the lake. Of course, we went around, it's more interesting.
The length of the path was 12-15 kilometers (I will not say for sure), but we were in no hurry and walked enjoying nature. On the way we came across small villages in which we collected water from wells in our plastic bottles. Then we walked along the shore of the lake, and then through a spruce grove. And finally, after 7 hours, we got to the place where I was leading everyone.
The picture was like this. A small field, an old ruined barnyard and a pond near which young spruces grew in large numbers. The place was very picturesque and comfortable. We settled down by the pond. From the barnyard they brought firewood *, lit a fire, crushed the grass around and began to eat. Time passed quickly and stars began to appear in the sky. The moon shone like a spotlight. It was warm and cozy.
After midnight, clouds appeared out of nowhere. A strong wind rose. It smelled like rain. We were not particularly worried, because there was a barnyard about fifty meters away and there we could hide. And then something began that scared us to the point of shivering. Lightning appeared in the sky. It sparkled so that the whole sky was illuminated with flashes. And then we saw something. During such flashes, eyes appeared among the clouds.

How can I explain to you … the clouds formed into such a pattern that when the lightning flashed, it seemed as if two evil eyes were looking at us. Words cannot convey this. These eyes were as real as they were alive. You just need to see all this for yourself. Of course, we understood that it was just the wind that did its job and it happened so by chance, but at the same time, these eyes looked so believable, as if some evil spirit was watching us. (and in those years, after reading Stephen King, we were very impressionable and invented everything for ourselves) …
It never rained. Half an hour passed and everything abruptly subsided. Clouds disappeared somewhere, lightning stopped flashing and silence fell. We did not fall asleep until morning. Everyone sat by the fire and discussed this terrible phenomenon. When dawn broke, packed up their things and set off on the way back. After that, after a while they wanted to go to that place again, but something did not work out, although now I would not mind visiting there again …
