Hoya Bachu Forest is located near Cluj-Napoca in Romania, more specifically in Transylvania. It is considered one of the saddest places in the world. Often referred to as the Romanian Bermuda Triangle, the site of many events, paranormal activity and unexplained phenomena. There are many reports of sightings of ghosts and mysterious phenomena. The photographs taken by tourists show strange faces that were invisible to the naked eye.

Locals believe that the forest is teeming with ghosts, and may even be the home of the devil himself. Most people are afraid to go to the forest. They are firmly convinced that those who pass between the Hoya Bachu trees may never return home. According to some legends, the forest has a gateway to another dimension.

The world first heard about Hoya Bachu in the late 60s of the XX century. Then Alexandru Sift (biologist) published photographs of strange lights and figures hovering above the treetops. On August 18, 1968, Emile Barnea (military) also took a photograph of a flying saucer.

Since then, there have been many UFO sightings and strange lights in this area.

One of the most interesting "sights" of these territories is the Bran Castle, built in the XIV century. It used to belong to the legendary Vlad Tepes (1431-1476), the ruler of the Wallachian Basarab dynasty. This man became famous for his cruelty, and also became a source of inspiration for the book Count Dracula - the most famous vampire.

Immediately after the end of the First World War, an event occurred after which the forest got its name. In one village there lived a shepherd who was called Hoya Bachu (that is, the leader). Everyone knew him because he was the best in his field. At least in that area. Once Bachu went to the market in the city of Cluj-Napoca. I took the shortcut through the forest.
The shepherd led the flock through the forest and disappeared without a trace.
Early in the morning, he drove his flock of sheep and disappeared without a trace. Residents of the surrounding villages carefully searched the entire forest in search of a shepherd, but found nothing. Missing. There was not a single trace, and the herd that Bachu was leading was numerous, it could not be unnoticed. There should have been at least some traces. Since then, the forest has been called Hoya Bachu.
Strange events in Hoya Bachu
Many disturbing things happened in the area in the years that followed. There are reports of strange paranormal activities that have been recorded and studied over the past 50 years. It was as if the forest was deliberately pursued by the ghosts of the Romanian peasants who were tortured and killed here. It is believed that their helpless souls are trapped within the forest boundaries of Hoya Bachu, and this causes their anger.
Many people disappeared in the forest. It seems that they just disappeared without a trace. Other people visiting this mysterious forest have experienced the phenomenon of wasting time.
After 5 years, the girl lost in the forest has not changed.
One of these people was a 5-year-old girl who got lost in the forest and left it only 5 years later. She was dressed in the same clothes as on the day of her disappearance. Interestingly, the clothes did not look worn, dirty or torn. There were no signs of wearing clothes at all for such a long time. Moreover, the girl did not remember what happened during her five-year absence. And the strangest thing is that the child did not grow at all - she was still 5 years old.

Another story happened with a teacher who went into the forest to pick mushrooms. It didn't take long before they found her. She was in complete amnesia. I didn't remember anything about my stay in the forest. Not even her own name remained in my memory.
Hoya Bachu is one of the most mysterious paranormal zones around the world. Teams of scientists from different countries regularly visit it. Unfortunately, there is still no generalized theory, much less evidence to explain what is happening there.
All events "revolve" around a dead clearing in the middle of the forest. It is within its limits that many inexplicable phenomena are observed, such as, for example, mysterious flying lights. Maybe the glade is something like a transition between dimensions or the space-time continuum, and UFOs are aliens from other worlds. Maybe they got lost in the same way as people who still cannot be found.
Everything that happens in Hoya Bachu is something unusual in this Transylvanian forest. Even if part of the story is exaggerated from the fear of people, but still, the forest around the castle of Vlad Tepes has earned itself a gloomy fame.
