At one time I thought, a living planet is dying, but what about life? Will it disappear too? It turned out not, life is transmitted from planet to planet, from system to system, from galaxy to galaxy, all this is transmitted in a simple way, like seeds scatter from trees, you can say this is the tree of life. So all the same, particles from other planets fall on other planets, including cells, DNA and even living things. And as soon as the conditions for life appear on the planet, life immediately appears on the planet. But intelligent and high-tech life is very rare.
The film Man of Steel is very interesting from a scientific point of view, showing a dying planet with an endangered civilization, which has practically nowhere to take energy and the only chance for which is to send its DNA code to another suitable planet for life.
The question is different, in preserving intelligent life, there are several options, in principle, you can move to a living planet, live on a ship or create a sarcophagus on an uninhabited planet, suspended animation, or simply preserve DNA. All methods are very difficult to implement and require very highly developed technologies and constant resources, imagine millions of years in outer space, it is not possible to survive. Except for one way - DNA preservation.
Indeed, the easiest way is to fly away from a dying planet and leave sarcophagi on several planets with DNA plus the knowledge of the entire civilization in gold tablets, perhaps even in crystals or a quantum computer. For this, many sarcophagi with a protective field are being built on a non-living planet, in which the DNA of different species is stored, a kind of DNA ark. Which is worth millions of years and opens up from strong earthquakes, throwing DNA into the air. As you know, earthquakes are a sign of the revival of the planet and the activation of the internal processes of the nucleus on the planet. That is why pyramids can be found on lifeless planets, for example, on Mars, on the moons of Jupiter.

And again everything starts anew and will continue until there is a way to exist outside the planet, in open space. Build ships and live on planets with no atmosphere. It's about mastering the solar system. It is very difficult to realize the idea to populate the entire system, and the reason is very simple, only a couple of hundred years - and all high technologies on a lifeless planet simply disappear.
Evolution as such does not exist, and everything is built only on chains of DNA, which gives the body bio-information. This is a very complex bio-computer in my opinion, which controls all nature.
But this does not reject the theory of genetic modification of the species, for example, by alien travelers who could fly to a living planet and leave an intelligent species.
