Recently, more and more messages have appeared on the Web about anomalous phenomena that take place in cafes, restaurants and other establishments where people go to eat. So, in early February, the research group "Irkutsk-Kosmopoisk" conducted a scientific investigation in the building of one of the Irkutsk cafe-canteens. The reason for this was an unusual photo.

The picture was taken in the late 90s. Then several schoolgirls celebrated their prom in the cafe. They decided to take a picture all together in the corridor, using an ordinary "soap box". Next to the girls, the face of an unknown man was captured in the photo. No man was there at that moment. Therefore, photography became a sensation.

The fact is that the photo was developed and printed automatically, so the photomontage, according to experts, is excluded … According to the cafe's watchman Oleg Semyonov, the photo was submitted for examination, and the latter confirmed its authenticity. Moreover, the stranger looks like a Spaniard or an Italian. In the picture you can see a frill on it, which was worn in the XII-XIV century …

True, a number of experts believe that, most likely, in this case there was a banal overlap of personnel. This sometimes happens if the camera is of an analog rather than digital type, even if there is automatic frame rewinding …

But the employees of the cafe-canteen completely reject this rational version. They are sure that their establishment is "unclean". According to Oleg Semenov, during his watch, he repeatedly heard strange sounds similar to a whistle. As soon as they "say hello" to the ghost, they died down. If Oleg did not pay attention to them, the sounds intensified. Other guards were also heard whistling, and in different parts of the building …

One day, cook Elena Agafonova was discussing an anomalous photograph with female trainees. Jokingly she said, "Today the ghost will go home with me!" After that, at Elena's house, a poltergeist began - objects fell by themselves, some things disappeared to no one knows where, the dog whined with fear … Realizing what was the matter, the woman, leaving one morning for work, again called the "ghost" with her. The "evil spirit" did not bother her anymore.

Members of the Irkutsk-Kosmopoisk group, wishing to investigate this phenomenon, with the permission of the management, examined the premises of the cafe using various devices. It turned out that in the place where the famous photograph was taken, the electromagnetic field "rolls over". The same was observed in that part of the building where mysterious noises were most often heard … An increased electromagnetic background is not uncommon for anomalous zones …

Recently, a video appeared on the Internet, made by surveillance cameras installed in the pub of the Carlisle Castle Hotel in Sydney (Australia). It shows how the dishes fall to the floor and break, although there is no one nearby. This went on for several weeks, and most of all the bottles with red wine were broken … The establishment suffered significant damage.

Promotional video:

Other events also took place. For example, the beer tap would suddenly open by itself, the lights in the room would turn on and off …

On some rollers and photographs you can see mysterious shadows that dance throughout the pub, as well as a light clot, outlines similar to the figure of a man dressed in some kind of uniform … One version says that it could be an old employee of the pub who served here in the early 90s. According to another version, this is a phantom of the late former owner of the pub Johnny Hoy …

Similar events take place at Ye Olde Man and Scythe pub (Manchester). By the way, it is one of the oldest drinking establishments in Great Britain. The pub was opened in 1251 and is said to be home to about 25 ghosts. The most famous of these is James Stanley, 7th Earl of Derby. The institution once belonged to his family, and he himself spent the last hours here before his execution in 1651 … Visitors are shown an armchair in which the Great Stanley (as he was called) supposedly sat.

Even in the pub there is allegedly the spirit of a woman who hanged herself here several centuries ago, the phantom of an eight-year-old girl and the ghost of a dog, which, apparently, also died within these walls … Until recently, the perfume did not bother anyone, except that sometimes sounds of unknown origin were heard in the room … But on the morning of February 14, receptionist Tony Dooley found broken glass on the floor. After reviewing the recordings from the security camera, he saw on them a semblance of a human figure hovering above the bar. It also turned out that the camera turned off at some point. Do ghosts really smoke?

However, information about supernatural phenomena in such institutions always adds PR to them. Are owners using people's interest in the paranormal for advertising purposes? In any case, one cannot be sure that this is not so …
