Video: Theory of Evolution: How did Darwin come up with it? - BBC News 2024, May
Anonim

Recently I noticed … that people do not understand why the classical (STE) theory of evolution is beneficial for pseudoscientists.

We will try, without resorting to conspiracy:) to deal with this.

Many of us have wondered about the origin of man and the astounding level of scientific knowledge of the civilization of ancient Mesopotamia. There are many questions regarding the source of this knowledge, for example here.

Yes, the video smacks of schizo … However, despite hundreds of thousands of cuneiform tablets, there is no explanation of the "Sumerian phenomenon" in the scientific community. And this long "silence" is alarming. Naturally giving an excuse to many curious laymen and researchers … to think about a global scientific fraud.

King Shamshi-Adad I. The father of Shamshi-Adad is named in the inscription of Esarhaddon a certain Belkabi (“God is his star”). I never considered myself the king of Ashur. Although, he first accepted the title isshiakkum (hereditary position of the ruler / priest), and later called himself only the builder of the Ashur temple.

But one day … Charles Darwin in 1871 put forward a hypothesis that (at first glance) refuted the detailed Sumerian-Akkadian texts about the origin of man. And in a very interesting way, his hypothesis was inflated into a whole scientific theory, on which pseudoscientists earn money to this day … But let's talk about everything in order.

"A little" facts from the biography of "genius"

If you are not interested in Charles Darwin's "psychological portrait", you can skip this giant wiki extract.

Born February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury. He was the paternal grandson of the physician and naturalist Erasmus Darwin (dom-knig.com/read_188465-16). He attended the Unitarian Church with his brothers and mother (!).

Entered day school in 1817, and attended his mother's funeral in the same year. In the summer of 1825, at the behest of his father, he studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh. During his studies, he realized that lectures are boring (!), And surgery causes suffering (!), So he abandons the study of medicine … Transitional age

In 1826 he joined the Plinievsky student society, in which radical materialism was actively discussed (!) At this time he assists the physician Robert Edmund Grant, who once praised Lamarck's evolutionary ideas (!) in the presence of Darwin.

Darwin was amazed at this enthusiastic speech, but said nothing, because shortly before that, he had learned similar ideas from his grandfather, Erasmus, by reading his Zoonomy. The first swallow of "natural selection" Attends Robert Jameson's course in natural history, but he was not particularly interested in geological sciences (!). Darwin's father, having learned that his son had abandoned (!) The study of medicine, was annoyed and offered him to enter the Christ College of Cambridge University and get a sans priest of the Anglican Church (!) And here begins the professional training of the future "scientist"

To become a priest (at the time) one had to study a number of disciplines.

Nowadays in Belgium, a novice priest can count on a monthly income of 1800-2000 euros, and a priest with many years of experience earns from 6 thousand euros (about 470 thousand rubles a month).

While studying in Edinburgh, he forgot (!) Some of the subjects necessary for admission, and therefore he is studying with a private teacher in Shrewsbury. He entered Cambridge at the beginning of 1828, where he did not go too deeply into training (!), Devoting more time to horseback riding, shooting a gun and hunting. Killing animals is more interesting His cousin William Fox introduced 19-year-old Darwin to entomology and brought him closer to people who are fond of collecting insects. As a result, he has a passion for collecting beetles. Darwin himself confirmed it this way:

Brilliant for a (approximately) 20 year old boy!

Growing up, faith and work

Darwin becomes a close friend and follower of botany professor John Stevens Henslow. Thanks to whom he met other leading naturalists, becoming known in their circles as "the one who walks with Henslow." Infected by HSP

As the exams approached, Darwin focused on his studies. During this time he reads Proof of Christianity by William Paley, whose language and presentation delight Darwin.

Graduated in January 1831, Darwin advanced well in theology to become a pastor, and was fully convinced by Paley's teleological argument that an intelligent device seen in nature proves the existence of God. Still, however (even before the death of his daughter), his faith began to waver during a trip on the Beagle (1831-36):

At an age when people are already working in their specialties, some "biologists" shudder at the cruelty of the wild. A reason to lose faith.

Soon after his return, Darwin published a book known under the abbreviated title The Voyage of a Naturalist Around the World in

the Beagle (1839). She was a great success. Naturally, considering who he traveled with.

In 1840, in letters to Hooker, he wrote more than once: "… I don't know any systematic writings on this subject, except for Lamarck's book, but this is real rubbish"; "Lamarck … damaged the question with his ridiculous, albeit clever (!) Work"; "May Heaven save me from the stupid Lamarckian" striving for progress "," adaptation due to the slow desire of animals "and so on."

True, he was forced to continue the last phrase from the quotes cited with the words: "But the conclusions to which I come do not differ significantly (!) From his conclusions, although the methods of change are completely different." ChSV is already off the charts, but the idea was borrowed by Darwin and took part (!) In writing a five-volume monograph "The Zoology of Travel" (1842). And in the period 1851-1854 he wrote and published a four-volume monograph "Barnacles". Very useful, by the way Under the influence of the English geologist and naturalist Charles Lyell, Darwin in 1856 began to prepare the third, expanded version of "The Origin of Species". In June 1856, when the work was half completed, he received a letter from the English naturalist A. R. Wallace with a manuscript of the latter's article. In this article, Darwin found an abridged presentation of his (!) Own theory of natural selection. Two naturalists independently and simultaneously developed identical (!) Theories. Both were influenced by TR Malthus's work on population, both were aware of Lyell's views …

It turns out that Darwin wrote a book in which the thoughts of a real scientist are voiced … What a coincidence!

Who was the first: Lamarck, Darwin or the egg (monkeys)?

Everyone knows that the writer (and certified priest) Charles Darwin is the famous founder of the theory of evolution, and Lamarck and Wallace are just some scientists? Let

's check.. Having got sick in Malacchemalaria, Wallace in his hospital bed began to reflect on the possibility of applying the old Malthusian idea of the survival of the most capable to the wildlife world. On this basis, he developed the doctrine of natural selection, hastily expounded it in an article, which he immediately sent to England to the famous naturalist Charles Darwin.

Immediately upon receipt of Wallace's paper, Darwin, then working on his revolutionary Origin of Species, wrote to Charles Lyell that he had never met a more striking coincidence (!) Between the ideas of two people and promised that the terms Wallace used would become chapters of his book. How convenient on July 1, 1858, excerpts from Darwin and Wallace's writings on natural selection were first presented to the general public at a readings at the Linnaean Society.

Wallace did not consider it necessary to develop his understanding of natural selection as thoroughly and consistently as Darwin did, but it was he who came out with caustic criticism of Lamarckism and introduced the term "Darwinism" into scientific circulation. Received 8 medals and awards, including the Darwin Medal (1890) and the Darwin - Wallace Gold Medal (1908)

Who is Lamarck? Why did he not please the Darwinists?

Lamarck became the first biologist who tried to create a coherent and holistic theory of the evolution of the living world, known in our time as one of the historical evolutionary concepts, called "Lamarckism".

If circumstances lead to the condition of individuals becoming normal and constant for them, then the internal organization of such individuals, in the end, changes. The offspring resulting from the crossing of such individuals retains the acquired changes and, as a result, a breed is formed that is very different from the one whose individuals were all the time in conditions favorable for their development. - J.-B. Lamarck.

The young scientist was talented and diligent, and in 1778 he published a three-volume work "French Flora". In its third edition, Lamarck began to introduce a bipartite, or analytical, system of plant classification. This system is a key, or determinant, the principle of which is to compare characteristic similarities and combine a number of opposite features, thus leading to the name of plants. These dichotomous keys, which are still in common use today, have provided important services because they have inspired many to take up botany. Five years later, Lamarck was elected a member of the Paris Academy of Sciences.

At the suggestion of Lamarck in 1793, the Royal Botanic Gardens, where he worked, was reorganized into the Museum of Natural History, in which he became a professor in the department of zoology of insects, worms and microscopic animals, Lamarck headed this department for 24 years.

In addition to botanical and zoological works, Lamarck published a number of works on hydrology, geology and meteorology. In "Hydrogeology" (1802) Lamarck put forward the principle of historicism and actualism in the interpretation of geological phenomena.

But the most important work of Lamarck was the book "Philosophy of Zoology", published in 1809. In it, he outlined his theory of the evolution of the living world.

That is … 43 years (!) Before Darwin wrote the first essay on the origin of species..

But the first term "evolution" (in the modern sense) was used by the Swiss naturalist of the 18th century Charles Bonnet, who argued that God, when creating the rudiments of life, put in them the ability to develop. Since the second half of the 19th century, the term has become firmly associated with Darwinism, although this term was not yet used in the first edition of The Origin of Species.

Although Darwin did not provide concrete evidence for evolution, his clear and logical presentation of the theory contributed to the fact that by the end of 1870 the scientific community and society at large accepted his views.

This seminal work was followed in 1871 by The Descent of Man and Sexual Selection, in which Darwin applied evolutionary theory to the process of the emergence of man, whom he claimed to be the descendant of ape. This book was wildly (!) Popular from the very beginning, and just three weeks after its publication, a second edition was released.

Drawing conclusions

Perhaps many noticed that Darwin wrote a book with a provocative hypothesis (hype) during a period of creative crisis (associated with lack of work and scientific activity). Circulation 1500 copies. sold out in 2 days. Although even in "The Origin of Species.." he carefully specified:

  • “We are not able to recognize in one species the ancestor of another modified species, no matter how carefully we study them, if we do not have at our disposal most of the intermediate links”
  • “Everyone admits that the geological record is imperfect; but few will agree that it is imperfect to the extent required by our theory"
  • “Over the years, I have deeply felt the importance of these difficulties and therefore have no doubt about their weight” And he added:
  • "If animals and plants change even extremely slowly and insignificantly, then why shouldn't variations or individual differences, which are useful in one way or another, be preserved and cumulated by natural selection?"
  • "If a person can patiently select variations that are useful to him, then why, under changing and difficult conditions of life, could not often arise and be preserved or be selected variations that are useful for living works of nature?"
  • "What limit can be set to this force, acting for many centuries and strictly examining the entire constitution and way of life of every creature, favoring the useful and rejecting the harmful?"

At the same time, with the advent of genetics … these "Lamarckian ideas" that acquired traits are inherited … They were hastily refuted (!!!) as they had a tinge of the "Intelligent Design" theory. However, many scientists disagreed with this … even in modern science.

And later such data began to appear.

But why has not this revolution taken place yet? Why haven't most people even heard about it? Why are Lamarck and Paley's ideas so diligently classified as myths and speculations? Why did paleontologists and anthropologists fail to supplement the "geological record" with a sufficient number of links and provide an explanation for the "Cambrian explosion" … so confidently support Darwin's ideas? How did Darwinism develop into neo-Darwinism, and then into evolutionary synthesis (STE)? And what has changed fundamentally?

Neurologist Steven Pinker speaks of two "camps": those who worry that the discovery of a gay gene or some other genetic basis for homosexuality could lead to selective abortion, and those who justify sexuality research on the grounds that genes responsible for homosexuality will remove one of the excuses for homophobia.

And most importantly: Why isn't the legacy of ancient civilizations really studied and covered? At the same time, "inconvenient" finds (for example, the Serbian fleet and the Cretan tracks) are so diligently hushed up … Many naively believe that the answers to these questions are simple and obvious.

However, if you read carefully, you can see the process of transformation of the theory of evolution into a symbol of materialism … Perhaps you also noticed that the purpose of changing the already existing evolutionary theory was money and fame … But the article is already immense:)

Therefore, in the second part, we will continue to analyze the development (and financial potential) of the theory of evolution … trying to cover the fantasies of R. Dawkins, the history of fraud in genetics, the humor of paleontologists and the ways of earning the pseudoscientific sect Anthropogenesis.ru

P. S. The channel is dedicated only to this topic … perhaps there will still be an analysis of the historicity of the Sumerian texts. Therefore, it is not necessary to subscribe, like and comment) There is a lot of work - there is little time..

My goal is to develop critical thinking in search of truth.
