A vampire is a powerful creature with many supernatural powers. Depending on which people the legends about vampires belong to, they can turn into fog and bats, command animals and change their appearance.
The vampire, according to the legends, is quite difficult, but still possible to defeat.
To do this, first of all, you need to find where he hides during the day. Most often we are talking about the grave. Therefore, first of all, people go to the cemetery and look for a grave with fresh or dug earth.
In the event that such a grave cannot be found, everyone is dug up in search of an unrecoverable body. It certainly belongs to a vampire. In the event that a vampire has recently been satiated, then his body will be swollen or there will be traces of blood around, - the legend says.
Since ancient times, there was another way to find the grave of a vampire. To do this, a white breeding stallion had to be released, and never stumbled. It was said that he would be able to cross all the graves except the one in which the vampire was hiding.
There are also many methods for destroying a vampire.
Silver bullets and special knots were always considered suitable for this, with which the vampire's body should be tied.
But, of course, there is nothing better than a good old stake in the heart. Having driven in a stake, the vampire's head should be chopped off with a church sword, after which the remains of the bloodsucker should be burned, and the ashes should be scattered in the wind.

An example of how they acted to destroy a vampire is the events in one Hungarian city that took place in the 18th century. A vampire appeared near the city, and Bishop Olomutsky ordered to study what was happening in the cemetery. An observer left in the bell tower saw a vampire in a shroud climb out of the grave. The shroud of the vampire remained at the grave, and the man descended and stole the robe. Upon returning, the vampire did not find the shroud and became furious. The man shouted to the vampire, and he climbed the stairs to the bell tower, where he was hit on the head with a hammer. In surprise, the vampire fell down, and the man quickly got down and cut off his head.
In 1672, a certain Georg Grando died in the town of Krinche. The priest who buried him went to the house of Grando's widow to help her, but met there his recently deceased husband. The ghostly figure of George was then seen in many places in the city. She knocked on the doors and, if they didn’t open it, left. But after Grando knocked on the door of the house, death soon came there. Grando's widow claimed that at night her husband comes to her and drinks her blood. The city judge ordered the opening of George's grave, where he was found without the slightest sign of decomposition. The invited priest spoke words about Christ, and people saw the dead man cry. But when they tried to pierce his chest with a stake, he jumped back. This was repeated over and over. Unable to bear it, one of the men chopped off the vampire's head with an ax. The dead man screamed at the same time, his body shook with convulsions,but then everything calmed down, and there were no more mysterious deaths in the city and no one drank the blood of the widow Grando.
