In the UK, the government has released the secret archives of a special department of the Department of Defense, engaged in research on UFO mysteries.

Publication of files storing all the information collected by the military over 50 years about UFOs should have happened back in 2013, however, for unexplained reasons, this happened only now. At the same time, it is indicated that 18 files from the original list disappeared without a trace, which has already given reason for ufologists to talk about state conspiracy and attempts to conceal the facts of the presence of alien civilizations on our planet. The remaining 15 documents are now stored in the National Archives, none of them has yet been digitized, so you can only get acquainted with their contents directly in the building of the National Archives in London in the Kew area.

For local media, the situation was commented on by the former head of the British Department of Defense for the study of UFO Nick Pope. He said that one should not expect from the revealed information the exposure of the actually proven existence of aliens, however, noted that the contents of the archives will shed light on many mysterious events associated with UFOs over the past 50 years, and also show the subtleties of the state approach to the study of these cases. In addition, he expressed his approval regarding the declassification of this data in general, since, according to him, this is an excellent move by the state to maintain the right of free information in the country.

The Department for the Study of Unidentified Flying Objects at the British Department of Defense was established in 1959 and existed for 50 years under the heading "top secret".
