2. The Mystery of the Castle of Light and the Legend of the Brothers

Light castle

And now I will reveal to you our Main Military Secret. A group of Swiss scientists from the Lausanne School of Technology made calculations according to which the "Castle of Light" building, which closely resembles an early warning radar station, could theoretically be used in this capacity. The Latvian National Library, built for many millions of euros for our taxes, is primarily an element of the American missile defense system. Look at the photo.

Of course, all radars are different, systems are being modernized, technologies are developing, but the principle remains. The building is used as an antenna. There is information that even people directly working in the library do not have access to some floors, there is not even an elevator stop there. Only all this is between us! If you tell someone, then only in a whisper. In addition, according to press reports, the architect of the project, American Gunnar Birkets, is closely associated with the Freemasons. I will not write in more detail about this, but an observant person can see a Masonic sign at the "Castle of Light".

The legend of the brothers

I read this story ten years ago, on a stand next to one of the exhibits in the Riga Motor Museum. Then I read the same story in different variations in auto magazines and auto sites. The museum has long been closed for renovations and it is not known when it will open. And not everyone goes to museums, so a short retelling.

Two brothers lived in pre-war Riga. They lived well - they had a joint business, rented out the apartment buildings they owned. The brothers had an American car - Chrysler De Soto, in which they took turns taxiing. At some point, they quarreled and one of the brothers secretly hid the car. Searches have yielded no results. The car fell through the ground.

Soon Latvia became Soviet, then the war began. The car, of course, was forgotten. The car was found by accident in the late 60s. During the major overhaul of the house, the builders drew attention to the discrepancy between the drawings of the building and the actual layout. They dismantled the wall and found the car safe and sound. Both brothers were still alive, but did not communicate with each other. The brothers sold the car. The car has changed many owners and several years ago I saw it in the Riga Motor Museum.

All this is interesting, but I have questions. The exact address of the house where the car was hidden is not written anywhere. On one of the auto-sites there are memories of one of the former owners of the car, where he posted a photo (attached to the text) of this house, and as an address he wrote “Riga, Daugavskver” in Russian letters, without a number and without explanation. The photo is cropped, and it is not clear where it is. Even if we find this house, it is not a fact that the car was hidden in it.

There are also discrepancies in the time of detection, in various sources the date ranges from 1967 to 1985. The fact that the brothers, having a whole block of apartment buildings, also earned money as taxi drivers, raises doubts. This whole story may have been made up. But for what? I have two versions. The first is the legalization of an existing car, and the second is that the price of a car with a “legend” is much higher than the price of a car without a “legend”. In any case, readers, if you know anything about this, write in the comments, together we will find the answer.
