Opus Dei
A closed religious organization founded in Madrid in 1928 by the Catholic priest José Maria Escriva de Balaguer. The goal of Opus Dei is to help believers find holiness in their daily life by engaging in ordinary earthly affairs, in particular professional activities. That said, the way to achieve holiness remains controversial. The management of the organization is carried out by "numerarii", who undertake various obligations, including the vow of celibacy. Many of the members of the community practice self-flagellation and wearing chains.
Priory of Zion
The Priory of Zion is a fictional secret society that supposedly exists in Europe. The Priory was registered as an "independent knightly brotherhood, following traditional Catholic law." The goal of the Priory was proclaimed "the restoration of the ancient knightly spirit, the desire for knowledge and the strengthening of cohesion."

Thugs
Tugi (stranglers) are medieval Indian bandits and robbers who dedicated themselves to serving the goddess of death and destruction, Kali. Tugi used special identification marks and jargon. Many believe that the secret society of the thuga exists to this day. Since about the 12th century, Tug bands in central India have plundered caravans and killed travelers. According to the records of historian William Rubinstein, 1 million people were killed by the thugs between 1740 and 1840. The Guinness Book of Records attributes two million deaths to them.
Druids
The priests of the ancient Celtic peoples performed the functions of judges, practiced medicine and astronomy. Their society was secret and it was possible to join it only by invitation. Many fans of druidic culture today recreate the semblances of magical orders and advocate the theory that the tradition has not been interrupted since ancient times.
Order of the Temple of the East
The international occult-religious organization has existed since 1902. Originally conceived as a Masonic academy that would reflect the symbolism of several occult-mystical communities, the organization turned into a bearer of the teachings of Thelema under the leadership of the occultist Aleister Crowley. Today the most numerous branch of the order is located in California and includes several thousand members.
Rosicrucians
Secret mystical society, founded in the late Middle Ages in Germany. Contains teachings built on ancient esoteric truths that are hidden from the common man, provide an understanding of nature, the physical universe and the spiritual kingdom, which is partly symbolized by the emblem of brotherhood - a rose blooming on the cross.
Assassins
A secret sect of assassins within the Islamic Ismaili movement, it went down in history during the Crusades, when the Assassins confronted newcomers from Europe. Today, the image of the assassins is actively used in computer games and cinematography.
Order of the dragon
Knightly order, founded in 1408 by King Sigismund I of Hungary of Luxembourg to protect the Hungarian royal house from internal and external enemies, and the Catholic Church from heretics and pagans. Vlad II Dracul, the father of Vlad Tepes, who served as commander of the border troops and guarded the passages through Transylvania, also participated in the society. The nickname Dracul was given to him precisely because he was a member of the order.
Thule Society
The name Thule comes from the name of a mythical northern country from ancient Greek legends. The German Occult and Political Society was founded in Munich in 1918. The main topic of research of the society was the origin of the "Aryan race". The country of Thule was located by ancient Greek and Roman geographers in the far north. Members of society believed that the Aryans were the highest race, supposedly existing in the prehistoric era on the legendary continent of Atlantis. The myth said that the inhabitants of Tule were the descendants of the Aryans who survived the death of the mainland.
