12-year-old Charlotte Robinson from Yorkshire came to Scotland to Loch Ness on vacation with her family.
Charlotte's family stayed at the Highland Lodges in the village of Invermoriston, located on the northeastern shore of Loch Ness.
When the girl immediately went for a walk ashore after arrival, it was about 7 pm and she suddenly saw something dark emerge from the water about 50 feet (15 meters) from the shore.
The girl watched in amazement as the creature disappeared under the water about a minute later, but after seven minutes it emerged again and several meters further from the first place. That is, it was clearly something alive, and not just a snag sticking out or floating with the flow.
When the creature emerged a second time, the girl caught herself and pulled out her iPhone and took a picture of it. The shot was taken from afar without magnification, but even this one was still called the clearest shot of Nessie's monster in many years.
In recent decades, all of Nessie's images have been mostly unusual ripples in the water or dark spots in the waves. The object immediately resembled the head of the creature.

According to the girl, she clearly saw a long neck in the water and a small head at its end.
Loch Ness monster researcher Steve Feltham has been following Nessie's observations in the lake for 27 years and he is very formed in the new image. He considers this to be the best and clearest shot of Nessie in years.
