The collection of anomalous wonders of the Urals also includes the Taganai National Park near the town of Zlatoust, created in 1991, which has always attracted outdoor enthusiasts from the Chelyabinsk region and from all over Russia.
The fact that Taganay, the total area of which is 568 square kilometers, is turning into a Mecca for fans of unusual phenomena, was one of the first to be reported by local ufologists in the early 90s.

When people came to the Urals, the Chuds mostly went to underground caves, but some could not come to terms with the invasion of the "white-faced", at night they came to the surface and killed people, destroyed houses, stole cattle.
Once the girl Aigul went to the forest for mushrooms and got lost. All the men of her village went to the forest in search of. All night they wandered among the trees and only closer to dawn did they hear crying behind the trees.
Coming out into the clearing, the seekers saw Aigul, who rushed about in the center of this clearing and called for help. The men rushed to her, but then from the trees jumped out of the trees, and one of them, the largest, grabbed the girl.
At this time, the sun appeared over the forest, and the chuds turned to stone. The peasants tried all day to knock the prisoner out of their stone embrace, but in the end they realized the futility of their venture and left.

By the way, in the so-called Valley of Fairy Tales of this park - a unique alpine area of a dwarf coniferous forest, where a strange "walking" and "singing" fog often appears, - in the fall of 2015, on one of the rocky outcrops between the Otklikny ridge and Mount Kruglitsa, an amazing statue was discovered in height about one meter. Human contours were clearly visible on the ledge of the rock: face, eyes, nose and lips.
Local scientists have already called the stone statue an ancient portrait of one of the representatives of the people who have gone underground.
To what has been said, it remains to add that almost all the ore deposits on which the famous Demidovs built their factories were indicated precisely by the Chud marks - overburdens, and the discovery of even later deposits was also associated with such marks.
There are no unambiguous explanations for the anomalous phenomena on Taganay yet. There are only versions explaining them by geological faults and emissions of gases from the Earth's interior. However, this applies only to some of the mysterious phenomena observed here.
