Now the Crimean land keeps many secrets, among which there are stories about ghosts and places associated with the portals of time, from where they continue to go out to living people.
Odysseus, during his wanderings at Cape Meganom, met a Cyclops, after which he descended through the underground passages of Kara-Dag to the world of Hades. It was in ancient times, but now the locals talk about several ghosts that appear before the eyes of tourists. People often saw the ship, dropping its anchor into the sea, when leaving the tents, and then it disappeared before our eyes in the air. Maybe the hero of the story decided in this way to remind of his existence? Then the translucent boy calls the guests to follow him, after which they die at sea, falling off a cliff, as they mistake him for a child in need of help. A night lamb standing on the edge of a cliff is also dangerous, but according to legend, the skin of this creature has magical powers, so that the one who killed the ghost can acquire the ability to levitate and the gift of healing. It's just unclearhow it is possible to do with a dead animal.
The Genoese fortress became famous for its phantom of the Consular castle, as a male figure is often seen here and invisible steps are heard. Many experts consider it the spirit of the last head of Cristoforo di Negro, who, together with the defenders of the structure, was burned by the Turks in the temple. The events of 1475 were confirmed during excavations, when scientists found many bones in the ruins of a building, and a spirit wanders through its possessions, protecting them from invaders. In the 13th century, Mangup-Kale was the Byzantine capital of the principality, but after the Turkish siege, the enemies staged a massacre of the population, including a kid who had lost his parents. He miraculously managed to escape from the military, but ended up on a stone path leading to an abyss. Suddenly, the rock parted and hid the fugitive in its bowels, and since then people have often seen a ghost of a child in the vicinity,who cried and looked for his loved ones on the ruins of the fortress, after which they even erected a monument to him.

Another lady is the French adventurer Jeanne de Lamotte, described in the novels of Dumas. After the story of Maria Antoinette's pendants, she was able to escape to Russia, and then was exiled here by the emperor, where she remained until the end of her days.
