From the very first second in the life of the Universe, so many random events have occurred that, perhaps, the number of universes instantly reached infinity. Imagine how many different universes could exist if this were true?

To begin with, although scientists know the mechanisms of the quantum world, the reasons for this unusual behavior of elementary particles still remain unclear. Various attempts by scientists to explain the causes of these physical phenomena have been called the interpretation of quantum mechanics.

It is important to know that the hypothesis of quantum immortality is approved only by the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, based on the principles of the multiverse.

Quantum suicide

“Quantum Suicide” is an interesting thought experiment based on the principles of quantum mechanics.

Its essence lies in the fact that in order to assess the outcome of events, the observer must remain alive.

As soon as we open the box, the world is divided in two. After all, an event could have happened with the same probability, depending solely on the mechanics of the quantum world.

So what about the multiverse?

The multiverse (aka parallel worlds) is actively used in the same many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, as well as in string theory.

They all appear by the same splitting of worlds in every random quantum process. In other interpretations, even every human decision can split these worlds. Imagine how many different multiverse could exist if this were true?

However, there is no confirmation of this idea and cannot be. There is an assumption that such a hypothesis is a survivor's mistake. Indeed, in an experiment with "quantum suicide" only a participant can tell us about this. But what is the likelihood that we will end up in the same universe in which he did not kill himself 100 times? Indeed, for us, as for bystanders, the result of the experiment does not make any difference. Whether the test subject rests or remains alive, we ourselves will be able to evaluate the result in any case, therefore, to be in any universe.
